Initial Housekeeping

This work is, technically speaking, fan fiction set in the world of One Piece. However, this is a crossover piece with Magic: the Gathering and a little bit of Norse mythology/folklore as well. I do not own anything relating to One Piece or Magic: the Gathering, and I don't own the Reader either. I just own the plot and any additional ideas contained within, including original characters created for the purpose of this story.

This is a Trafalgar Law x Platonic!Reader crossover fic. I am not caught up with the storyline of either fandoms but I am basing this story post-Wano for One Piece & pre-New Phyrexian Invasion for MtG. As this is a platonic pairing, there will be no citrus in this work. This is SFW but still rated mature for swearing, violence, gore and death. Definition of gore is as follows when used as a noun: 1) Blood, especially coagulated blood from a wound. 2) Blood; especially, blood that after effusion has become thick or clotted.

I will not be providing any other trigger/content warnings beyond the mature rating.

Now for the serious housekeeping:

1. Don't be dicks in the comments. Dicks will be castrated.

2. As this is a work of fan fiction, I am not making any money off of this story. It is purely for fun on my part. I am not required to post on a schedule and the story can take any turn I so desire. I also reserve the right to cancel it at any point with no reason(s) given.

3. As this is a work of fiction and fan fiction at that, do not expect the Norse influences to be anywhere near accurate. I'm drawing inspiration from the mythology/folklore but have no intention in following any of it closely. I just need it as a bridge between the two fandoms.

4. There are over 1,000 episodes/chapters of the anime/manga for One Piece. I am on volume 2 for the manga and under episode 300 for the anime. I have NOT encountered Law or his crew yet in the anime. Everything about the characters, ship, etc. I learned from fan fiction, fan art, and spoilers from the fan wikia.

5. I am however, very familiar with the plane I'll be pulling from MtG for this work. Familiarity aside, I still reserve the right to not follow it all that closely as this is my story.

6. Since I'm behind with canon, the early stages of the story may feel off. I apologize if the characters seem wonky. As I get further into the original material, the world you are used to will improve. I'm also a marathon writer by trade, so writing in sections is not my thing. It'll take many tries for me to find my rhythm with this piece.

7. Lastly, remember folks, this is purely for fun. Don't make demands, apply comment etiquette, and don't correct typos. Typos occur to the very best of us and I proofread everything in triplicate before posting. I am not a writing god but I'm not a hack either. Mistakes will occur but pointing them out in an effort to "improve my writing" will get you nowhere.
