It was dark and foggy outside, with humidity in the air, making my clothes cling to me. The smell of wet soil surrounded me, and my feet were bare and hurt as if I had been running forever. Thick trees and dense woods engulfed me. I was lost. And confused.

Looking around, I tried to remember how I got here. "Think, Mitchie, think!" I breathe quickly, trying to recall my last moments. But my mind was blank.

Suddenly, an ominous wind blew past, making the hair on my body stand.

But it wasn't just wind. A person was standing before me, staring into the depths of my soul.

A scream climbed its way up my throat, but the stranger was two steps ahead of me.

"Not so fast," he replied with a smirk.

Putting a finger to his lips, the stranger talks again, saying, "Shush, can't have you waking up your roommate, can you?"

Terrified, I begin thrashing to loosen his grip. Once free, I back away to look at my captor.

And boy, I was not disappointed. Standing in front of me was the absolute finest man ever. He was at least 6'4, wearing all black and a leather jacket to top it off. His hair was longish, ending around the nape of his neck, and damp from the air. But the main thing that I was focused on was his striking eyes.

Locking in on them, I squint to get a better look.

Damn, I thought, as I've never seen eyes so blue.

"Who are you?" I ask, taking deep breaths to calm my nerves.

Crossing his arms, he replies, "Damon."

"And you're dreaming," he says, looking at me like a joke.

Looking around confused, "I am?"

END DREAM

"Mitchie! Get up now!"

I struggle to catch my breath in a startling wake as I take in the sight before me.

Elena, my roommate for the summer while at Camp Rock, stands in front of my bed with her hands on her hips and a scrunched-up forehead, proving her displeasure with the situation.

"Your alarm has been ringing for the past 15 minutes," she says annoyedly. "You were also mumbling in your sleep like some weirdo."

Elena and I have been good friends since last summer at Camp Rock. She moved from Mystic Falls, and we met while working with my mom in the kitchen.

Still groggy from that crazy dream, I groan and stretch my limbs from the comfort of my bed.

"I'm sorry, Elena! I really didn't mean to," I replied apologetically.

Standing up and making my bed, I think of what happened the night before. "I had a crazy dream again last night. But this one... was different," I tell Elena.

"I dream pretty regularly, but this one felt real. I can't explain it."

Interest now peaked; Elena stopped whatever she was doing and sat on my bed as I began my morning routine.

"Well, what happened? Can't be any crazier than the rest, right?"

I pull out my clothes from the dresser, plan my outfit for the day, and explain to Elena the beautiful specimen of a man I witnessed the night before.

"... And he had these strikingly blue eyes. It was crazy, but wow, was he hot," I finish off with a laugh.

Turning around and noticing Elena's silence, I see her looking off into space, deep in thought.
