Based off the song thug like me by lemarvin. natasha is a good behaved student, while you're a "thug". i don't really know the true definition of thug, so we just gonna wing it. i recommend to listen to the song while reading, also because it's a good song🙂👍🏽.

THIRD PERSON POV
Y/N was the definition of a "thug". Or people thought she was. She was violent, aggressive, and vicious. She had the worst grades one could have. She barely ever went to school, she would always skip with her friends. Tormenting other students or making chaos around the streets.

Natasha on the other hand was the exact opposite. She was kind, responsible, and caring. She had good grades, attendance, and she was even well known around the school.

Despite the two being exact opposites, they found a liking to each other. They had no idea how it happened, but it did. But lately it hasn't been working out because everyone questioning their relationship has also made Y/N question it.

What I wanna know is why you comin through? A pretty girl like you, what you tryna prove.

"If your daddy knew where you were he'd hate it, and if he knew you was with me he'd probably go crazy." Y/N told Natasha. Natasha shook her head desperately.

He wants you with a college educated, guy who made it out the hood.

"We can work it out." Natasha said. She wanted to work it out. It was unusual. She wanted to be with someone who was bad for her.

"Your friends think I'm bad news, they think I'm trouble. Leave" Y/N says. None of Natasha's friends or family liked her. Y/N had to find a way to let her down easily. She needed Natasha to leave her.

I tell you leave.

"I love you." Natasha says ignoring what Y/N had said.

You just say I love you.

"Can you tell me, what a good girl like you, want in a thug like me?" Y/N asked Natasha. What did Natasha see in Y/N that made her want her so bad?

I'm hangin in the hood you livin in the birds, I don't think it's gonna work.

Natasha stayed silent. She knew why she liked Y/N but for some reason, she couldn't say it. She had so many reasons why she liked her but couldn't get one word out.

What a good girl like you, want in a thug like me? Is it my style thats got you goin wild. Baby can you tell me.

"You from a good home, you use the good food, and trips in the summer while I'm on the corner." Y/N spoke.

"Opposites attract-"

"Opposites attract but this ain't your life. I know you think I'm wrong, but trust me I'm right." Y/N cut off Natasha. She knew what she was going to say, but Y/N's life was no where close to Natasha's, even if it was supposed to be the opposite of her life.

"But baby-"

"How would you feel if you got that phone call, sayin I got locked up, on the block got shot up." Y/N asked Natasha.

And there's a possibility if you with me.

"That's fine if you gotta do time."

You say that's fine if I gotta do time and I wanna know.

What a good girl like you, want in a thug like me? I'm hangin in the hood you movin in the birds.

"I don't think it's gonna work out..." Y/N says as she looked down, too ashamed to face Natasha.

So what a good girl like you, want in a thug like me? Is it my style? That's got you goin wild. Baby can you tell me.

Everyone had Y/N wondering why all good girl of all people would want her. Why the opposite of herself would want to be in a relationship with her.

"What is it bout me?" Y/N questioned Natasha. Almost questioning herself too, asking why would someone want to date someone like herself.

Is it my gangsta walk? My gangsta talk? My gangsta stare?

Y/N did truly love Natasha, but Natasha was too good for her. Y/N's life was too bad for Natasha. Y/N would rather lose the love of her life if it meant keeping her safe, even if it meant that she wouldn't have a future with someone who she has been talking about it with.

I'm not that kinda girl who wants to settle down.

"I'm not that kinda girl who you wanna hold on to." Y/N said, Natasha shaking her head disagreeing with her. Natasha truly felt like Y/N and her could be a forever type of thing.

I'm not that kinda girl that'll wanna take home.

What a good girl like you, want in a thug like me? I'm hangin in the hood you movin in the burds. I don't think it's gonna work out.

So what a good girl like you, want in a thug like me? Is it my style? That's got you goin wild. Baby can you tell me.

"Why you wanna be with a thug like me?" Y/N asked, genuinely curious why a good girl such as Natasha, would want a thug. Especially when everybody told her not to. When everybody told her Y/N was too bad for her.

Daddy said stay away from a thug like me.

Mama warned you about a thug like me.

And your friends don't like a thug like me.

But you keep comin to a thug like me.

And you keep callin a thug like me.

What is about a thug like me?

That's got you going crazy for a thug like me.

Natasha didn't answer, but she knew why. Y/N showed her all the things she was missing in life, the fun things. Ding dong ditching with friends, skipping, and staying out late at night.

Natasha's life has always been about school and succeeding in life, that she never got the chance to have fun. Y/N was able to show her that. Y/N was able to show her how to have fun with small things, like taking breaks to go play at the park with random kids.

Y/N was a completely different person with Natasha. Almost like she wasn't a thug anymore. She saw everything more brighter and happier. She saw more of the good things in life, like just simply being able to talk to and see Natasha.

What a good girl like you, want in a thug like me?
I'm hangin in the hood you movin in the burds.

"I don't think it's gonna work out..." Y/N said again, although this time she left. She turned around and walked away from Natasha, the girl who made her see the world differently then just a scary world, where you have to be scarier.

Natasha stood there. Silent and still. The reason for her life being better was leaving, the reason for her being happier was walking away from her instead of with her. She watched as Y/N walked away, not taking her eyes off of her. And just like that, a good girl was left alone with a thug walking away.

What a good girl like you, want in a thug like me?

How yall feel bout this one because honestly I was just yappin the whole time, I didn't really know how to use all the lyrics, so the ones I didn't know how to use I kinda just put it in there. I felt like I needed to post a story because I haven't been active with it lately, and plus this song has been stuck in my head and I just said why not put it in a story🤷🏽‍♀️
