Your not the one (unfinished)

Party invite

I walked into class, saw Haden there, and took my seat. It looks like half of my class was sleeping.

"Haden, guess what?" I said as I sat down

"What sup?" Haden said

"Josh gave me his phone number!" I said in excitement

"How did he even get your number?" He said

"I was walking in the hallways, and I saw Josh. He asked me if I wanted to go to this party, but I wasn't sure-" I said

"No, I'm not going to that stupid party, Mia," Haden cut me. "You know I hate smelling drunk people."

"I know, Haden, but just 20 minutes and we went, I promise..." I said. I then put my hands together, giving him the puppy eyes.

"Sighh, fine, but you can stop with them shitty puppy eyes," Haden said as he hit my head smiling.

I hug him tightly, thanking him.

"I'm going to sleep, Haden. This class doesn't teach nothing," I said. "Take notes if you can."

I lay down on the table, shut my eyes, and went to sleep.

I woke up with the sound of the bell lying on Haden's shoulders. I look over to see his shirt wet.

"Oh shit! Did I do that?" I said, getting up quickly

"It's fine. You pay me back with some food," Haden smiles at me. "Common'll walk you to your class,"

We were walking to my class when we heard a big commotion across the hall. Students were crowding around in a circle. Haden and I went to see what was happening; another boy was getting pushed by another boy.

"Is that zay?" Haden said

So much for a good day...

I genuinely hate Zay with everything I have. When I was in my first year, this Rathead never knew when to leave me alone. It got so bad that one day he put milk on me, and Haden beat his ass. Zay doesn't talk to me anymore (well, at least around Haden), but he is still an asshole.

"Where the fuck my pen at, little cuz!" Zay asked as he jacked some random white boy up

"Get your hands off of me, bruh," the boy said, trying to fight back

Everyone was craving a fight, but then one of the teachers came to break it up

"Both of you in the office now!" She grabbing both of them

Zay looked at the teacher for a second but then pushed her out of the way, leaving while the boy was with the teacher so Zay could keep his cool. Zay looked up and saw me standing there. He then stopped for seconds but then looked at Haden. He continues walking away

"What was that all about?" I asked Haden

"I don't know, but you sure you're gonna be okay this year?" Haden asked, "I care about you, and I don't need someone like him hurting you,"

"I'll be fine, Haden, common before I am late," I said

Haden dropped me off at my classroom. Two hours later, I got a text from Josh about the party, but I didn't respond because I didn't know what to say.

"Hey, Mia!" Someone said behind me

I turned around to see who it was. "Oh, hey, Emily," I said

"Seen that fight that everyone is talking about?" Emily said

"Yeah, it's stupid, honestly, all because of a cart?" I said as I rolled my eyes

"Yeah, not only that, but Zay tried talking to his girl. Joey didn't like that tho, so they have been supposed to fight," Emily said
