Chapter 5: Magical caterpillar

Winston POV

She was amazing. I will admit she had me dazed. Her physical contact with me had made my heart create weird beats and I could still feel the heat in my ears. I loved the feeling of her hand grasping mine tightly. I am pretty sure she didn't know where she was going, but I wasn't going to say anything less she let go of my hand.

Unfortunately, she let go of my hand a few paces into the woods, about a few yards from the rock gate. She crossed her arms under her chest; unknowing pushing them up.... I shook my head, not the time, not the time. She started pouting and stomping her foot. It was adorable. I was trying not to smile; I didn't won't her ire pointed at me. I noticed Harvey was starstruck.

"ARGH!! The nerve of the Jackass! I can't believe he said something like that to me! Oh, I just want to, to, ugh!!" Her stomping became louder. Harvey came up behind her and started rubbing her shoulders.

"Calm down, sweet bun. Don't let the um...Jackass... get to you. He clearly was not raised right, as it is wrong to even think about disrespecting a female." She giggled when he mentioned Parker's new name. I smiled watching their interaction. She turned and hugged him, causing him to turn bright red, which got darker as she nuzzled into his chest.

"Thank you, Harvey, "she turned towards me and smiled, "and thank you to Winston for standing up for me. Being there for me."

"Anytime little one. We will always protect you and be by your side." I said coming to hug her from behind. Boxing her in between us. She blushed but leaned her head back against my chest.

"I feel so safe with you two. It's so weird, feeling like this. And you both smell so good." She closed her eyes and took a long inhale, her little nose wiggling in the cute way that made me adore her even more. Harvey leaned down and nuzzled her neck and purred.

"I believe it is you that smell amazing, sweet bun." He took a deep breath and stood up straight. He gave me a look and nodded. I knew that look and I agreed full-heartedly. He looked down at the dazed bunny in our arms and smiled. He took one more breath and seemed to steel himself.

"Alice? Can I ask you something? Or can we ask you something?" He was nervous but was holding strong for this most important moment. She looked between us, making eye contact with each of us.

"Of course you can. Never think you can't voice your opinion or need to keep something bottled up." He looked at me, I nodded giving him the go ahead. He smiled and looked back down towards our bunny. Well, hopefully ours.

"Alice, would you like to become our mate?" Alice gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. Her eyes became a little moist. She looked at me and gave me a questioning look as if asking if this was ok with me. I hugged her tighter to me and nuzzled her neck, purring. I gave her neck a little lick, causing her to shudder.

Still against her neck, "I will be honored if you accept me as a mate. I will shower you with all the love you deserve and more." Harvey nodded agreeing with me and he also lent down to other side of her neck purring and nuzzling into it. She shuddered again so I am sure he gave her a little lick too.

She gulped and grasped both of our biceps.

"I would, um, love to be yours." She spoke. Everything in the world seems to be frozen. She really agreed! I have a mate! I was wanted!

"You have no idea how long I have waited to have a mate of my own." I whispered into her neck, Harvey grunted, I smelt salt, so I knew he was overjoyed too. She giggled and pushed away a little but not too far from where we let our hold drop. She didn't seem to mind still being in our arms.
