A month later.
Aurora's PoV:
"Kira, honey, come downstairs please!" I call, cradling almost 2 month old Holly on my chest.
Kira runs in, "yes mommy?"
"Me and Daddy have to talk to you baby." I exclaim
"Come here sweetie." Connor lifts her onto his knee
"Am I in trouble?" She asks
"No sunshine, we wanted to ask you something. How would you like it if we adopted you? So you'd be Kira Rhodes instead of Kira Myland." I explain
"Really?" She asks as I nod, "Yayyyyyy!"
"I'll take that as a yes!" I chuckle, "we'll go to the court on Saturday, ok?"
"Ok mommy." She smiles, "can I go play with Maya now?"
"Alright kiddo." Connor helps her off his lap and she runs upstairs.
I hear the front door unlock and I see Alessia walk in from therapy. She's been taking it pretty hard. She turns to the stairs.
"Alessia, come here please!" I call
She turns with a sigh and walks in, "yeah mom?"
"How'd it go?" I ask
"Same as always, can I go now?" She asks
"Don't give us attitude like that Alessia." Connor exclaims
"Just leave me alone, you guys are the worst!" She yells before storming upstairs, "you're supposed to protect me Mom! You're the worst mom ever."
I feel Connor grab my hand as I cry softly.
"You are a great mom Rory, she's just trying to heal." He tells me
"Yeah." I sigh softly
I hear Alessia yelling before a door slams and I hear cries. Kira and Maya run downstairs crying.
"Mommy! Daddy!" They cry.
"What babies?" I ask, quickly laying Holly in her downstairs bassinet.
I bend down on the ground and bring the girls into my arms.
"Sissy Yelled at us and slammed her door." Kira cries
"It was scawy!" Maya sobs,
"I am going to go sort her out." Connor walks upstairs, "give them anything, they didn't deserve that."
I nod, "what do you guys want?"
"Icy-keem?" Maya asks
"Yeah." Kira smiles
"Ok, stay here baby girls." I exclaim before going into the kitchen and getting two bowls of ice cream.
I take them back out and give them to the girls. They eat their ice cream. Connor walks downstairs carrying Alessia's phone and other electronics.
"I've grounded her, 2 weeks?" Connor exclaims
"Alright," I give him a light kiss.

~~~~~that Saturday
"Kira, come here baby girl!" I call
Kira runs in. I help her change into the dress I got her for today. I braid her hair.
"Go out and put your shoes on kiddo." I exclaim
She nods and exits the room. I head to my room and get into my dress. I slip on heels and head downstairs. Connor is sitting in a suit with Maya on his lap. Alessia walks downstairs in a hoodie and tracksuit pants.
"Alessia, go get ready, we have to go soon." Connor exclaims
"Sorry!" She sighs and head upstairs.
She comes back down, in a dress.
"Alright, let's go." I exclaim
Maya hops off Connor's lap and he grabs Holly's carrier. We head out to the car and we all get in. I drive us to the courthouse. I see trinity outside. She waves. We all get out.
"Hey guys." She smiles
"Hey Trinity!" I chuckle
"Trinity, Mommy and Daddy are going to Adopda me!" Kira exclaims
"I think you mean adopt honey." Trinity smiles
"Yeah." Kira giggles and we all head inside.
Alessia takes Maya and Holly and sits in the gallery with Jay, who brought his girlfriend Erin with him, and Will, who brought Nat and Owen. I sit at a table with Connor and Kira.
"All rise!" The court officer exclaims
We all stand. The judge walks in. We sit.
"So i understand, you wish to adopt Kira Myland?" The judge asks
"Yes your honour!" I exclaim
"Alright then." He exclaims, "do you have the paperwork?"
"Yes your honour!" I quickly take it to him.
He reads over it, "Miss Harper, what's your opinion on the matter?"
"Uh, she's been in the same household since entering the system. She's loved it there. I can tell she is happy there. I believe it is the perfect home for her." Trinity explains
"I see. Well, everything is in order." The judge exclaims
Kira leans up to my ear, "mommy, I want to tell the judge something."
"Ok," I whisper before speaking up, "your honour, Kira would like to tell you something."
"Come over here sweetheart." The judge waves her over.
Kira hops up and walks over. She whispers something to the judge. He nods. He sits back. Kira stays put.
"Everything ok your honour?" I ask
"Yes. I am granting the adoption. Congratulations." The judge signs the paper.
"Yay!" Kira runs over
I lift her up happily and cuddle her. She smiles and lays her head on my shoulder.
We grab the paperwork and head home. I make mango chicken curry for dinner as Jay, Erin, Will, Nat and Owen join us. We sit outside.
"To Kira. Officially a Rhodes!" I smile
Kira laughs and we start eating. The others leave and we settle down. Alessia has retreated to her room, as usual. Connor took Holly to bed. I watch a movie with Kira and Maya.
"Mommy, when are you and daddy getting married?" Maya asks
"Soon baby." I reply.
We finish our movie and head off to bed.
