The Meeting

(Author's Note-> The first part takes place during the time when Talia left Husk to take care of her child)

Talia had met with the Overlord she had a meeting with, it was a hard day for Talia.

"Carmilla, not so hard. I can only do so much"

"You need to react faster. Your enemies will not hesitate to kill you"

I held my weapon while she danced around me. It was annoying to aim at a moving target but she was the best at hand-to-hand combat.

"Carmilla, can I rest for a bit?"

"Oh sure, rest..."

"Thanks Carmilla.."

She gave me an upper kick to the chin and I flew for a second.

"The fuck Carmilla?!"

"The enemy will not give you any time to rest. Get up, your training is not finished yet"

I got up but Carmilla had a concerned look on her face.

"Talia you're bleeding..."

"I know and I'll be..."

"No. Your blood, it's gold?"

I wiped my mouth and saw my blood.

"Oh shit..."

"Talia, are you...?"

"I gotta go"

I ran out and headed back to the hotel. If she or any of the others found out about my secret, they'd kill me on the spot.

-Present Time-

I had a harsh morning that day, but today was a new day. I got up and dressed myself, headed down to the lobby.

Everyone was in the lobby doing some type of trust exercises which I was trying to avoid. I headed to the bar area to get a drink and look at the mail, and I saw Vaggie heading my way.

"What is Vaggie?"

"You're participating in today's activities..."

As she spoke, I flipped through our mail until I saw a letter addressed to me.

"Shut up Vaggie"

"Excuse me?"

I opened the letter and it read as follows.

"Dearest Talia, I am holding a meeting with some of the other Overlords and would like to invite you to join in. Go to this location and there will be an elevator waiting for you. I hope you can attend along with Alastor. Best regards, Carmilla Carmine"

"Hello?"

"Huh? Sorry Vaggie, I got plans. I'm going somewhere discreet"

"Fuckin, why do I even bother with you?!"

"Sorry babe, send my regards to the others"

I ran out the doors and headed to the location, I've never met any of the other Overlords so I was excited.

I ran faster than usual and I didn't see the demon in front of me, we collided and fell to the ground.

"Hey, watch it!"

"Geez, sorry!"

"Wait, aren't you that bitch with the Princess and her hotel?"

"What's it to ya?"

"I was wondering..."

"Fucking hell, I got a meeting to attend!"

I dashed out of there and was back on track.
