As Karan searched frantically through the house, his heart pounding with fear and desperation, his worst fears were realized when he stumbled upon Preeta lying in a pool of blood. The screen froze with his shocked face as he knelt beside her, his hands trembling as he reached out to touch her.
"Preeta!" he cried out, his voice raw with anguish as he cradled her limp form in his arms. Panic surged through him as he assessed the extent of her injuries, his mind racing with a million terrifying possibilities.
The room seemed to spin around him as Karan struggled to process the sight before him. Preeta's usually vibrant face was pale and still, her features twisted in pain as she lay motionless on the ground.
With trembling hands, Karan pressed his fingers against her neck, searching desperately for a pulse. His heart sank when he found none, and a sense of overwhelming despair washed over him as he realized the gravity of the situation.
"Preeta, please don't leave me," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion. "I can't lose you."
But there was no response, only the silence of the room and the echo of his own desperate pleas. Tears filled Karan's eyes as he cradled Preeta's lifeless body in his arms, his heart breaking at the thought of life without her.

Karan rushed Preeta to the hospital, his mind raced with fear and determination. Clutching her limp body tightly in his arms, he prayed fervently for her survival, his heart heavy with the weight of uncertainty.
"Stay with me, Preeta," he pleaded, his voice trembling with emotion. "You're going to be okay. Just keep fighting."
Preeta's eyelids fluttered weakly as she struggled to stay conscious, her breaths shallow and labored. She reached out to Karan, her hand trembling in his grasp.
"Karan," she whispered hoarsely, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm scared."
Karan's heart broke at the sound of her fear, but he forced a reassuring smile, doing his best to stay strong for her.
"Don't be scared, Preeta," he said, his voice gentle but firm. "I won't let anything happen to you. We're almost at the hospital, and the doctors are going to take care of you."
Meanwhile, as Rohit made the grim discovery of Dev's body in the backyard, his mind raced with shock and horror. He immediately dialed Karan's number, his voice urgent as he delivered the devastating news.
"Karan, it's Rohit," he said, his voice shaking with emotion. "I found Dev. He's... he's gone."
Karan's heart sank at Rohit's words, his grip on Preeta tightening as he struggled to process the news.
"No," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the roar of the sirens. "Not Dev."
As they arrived at the hospital, doctors and nurses rushed to Preeta's aid, wheeling her away on a stretcher as Karan followed closely behind. He watched helplessly as they disappeared through the doors of the emergency room, his heart heavy with fear for her life.
Hours passed in agonizing silence as Karan waited anxiously for any news of Preeta's condition. Finally, a doctor emerged from the operating room, his expression grave as he approached Karan.
"Mr. Karan, I'm afraid Preeta's condition is critical," the doctor said, his voice somber. "We're doing everything we can, but she's lost a lot of blood. Her life hangs in the balance."
Tears welled up in Karan's eyes as he listened to the doctor's words, his mind reeling with despair. But even in the face of unimaginable tragedy, he refused to lose hope, clinging to the belief that somehow, someway, Preeta would pull through.
