Dahlia had a dreamless sleep that night. It was unusual, since Dahlia was used to dreaming nightmares about her past, and she would often wake in the middle of the night or early hours of the morning. But this time, she slept through the whole night without any good or bad dreams. Though as she woke up, she thought she had the strange sound of something walking, kind of like an insect, but with metal feet. She thought she was hearing things as she opened her eyes. She found herself surrounded by white blankets and she saw a bunch of oversized shirts at the end. She blinked and looked around to see a cave around her. For a moment, she forgot where she was, and she was briefly confused.
We are still in the autobot base, Dahlia.
Autobot? OH!
Dahlia jumped and sat up upon realizing where she was, she sighed deeply as she had wished she would wake up back in the drain. She ran her hand through her hair, thinking about all the events of the day before. She sighed as the end of the day was the most stressful for her, especially as she was made to remain in the autobot base, even though she fears that they would show true colours. But when they gave her the option of choosing where to sleep and to allow them to bathe her, it was weird. She didn't know if she should true that or not.
Maybe we can ask to leave again today.
They won't allow it.
But we can't be kept here forever. You already told them we eat raw food, and we can't just eat rat all the time. Rats don't have enough fat on them.
I will...do my best to convince them...but they will want to keep an eye on us if they took us somewhere. They will probably take use through the ground bridge.
We think that would not be good.
I know, the energy that comes off it is...
What is that noise? It sounds like the pitter patter of spider legs or something.
And it is metal.
Dahlia crawled out of the cave and looked around for a moment, spotting Ratchet looked through a microscope. It seemed he was still taking a closer look at the purple substance that had made Arcee dizzy the previous day. She raised an eyebrow, because the sound she was hearing was strange. She glanced around and sniffed the air curiously for a moment to see if she could get a scent of anything. But there wasn't anything she could smell.
She flinched when she heard the sound of some pipes falling, making her look in the direction of it, but she saw nothing. She saw that Ratchet had noticed the sound too, and he seemed surprised, but he thought it was nothing as he looked back into his microscope before the sound of footsteps were heard again. And Dahlia tensed upon hearing it. "Optimus?" Ratchet questioned in a concerned tone. "Dahlia, is that..."
BANG!
Ratchet turned in shock upon hearing the sound of metal slamming on the wall, and he gasped in shock to see Dahlia standing there, but he saw what looked like a spider-like bot, that resembled the equipment that Bulkhead broke the day before. "By the All Spark! Dahlia, don't engage..." The girl was not looking at Ratchet as the creature jumped at Dahlia with its blades ready. Ratchet grabbed a nearby pipe. "Keep your distance, Dahlia! I'll get it!"
Dahlia did not look at Ratchet as she hit the bot away from her, and watched as it hissed and ran at her again. She did not know what it was, but she had seen it running at Ratchet before, and she been able to stop it. And now it was charging at her. She jumped as the bot swiped at her legs and she kicked it away. She was about to pounce when Ratchet suddenly hits the bot with the pipe, and the spider bot turned to Ratchet.
