This is a poetry book I am starting inspired by my favorite poet on Wattpad, JoshuaBurton.
I hope you like it and I would appreciate any comments.
Unsatisfied:
I wish I could freeze time
And stay in one moment for forever
I wish I could spend eternity
Just looking into your eyes
But the rain washes these dreams away
As seconds and minutes then years fly by
And I guess I shouldn't be surprised
Because the universe never has been
So easily satisfied.
Broken Everything:
There's broken glass on my closet floor
But, I promise,
I don't need it anymore
I don't need the pain
To make me feel okay
I don't need the blood
To wash away my shame
All I need is your arms around me,
Because you're my new escape.
But, when I think about it,
If this is enough,
Maybe I don't need Anything.
Or maybe,
All I think I know is wrong;
In which case,
I need Everything.
If you're out there, tell me,
Is there such a thing as nothing?
Is there such a thing as being alone?
