Jennie forgot her appearance and ran into her bedroom. As soon as she entered the room, she rushed to the door and locked it, even though she knew Taehyung wasn't following her.

She gasped for breath and leaned her back against the door. She lost energy in her legs in an instant. She buried her face in her hands and sat down on the spot.

She wanted to cry, but no tears came out. She only gasped for breath. Her stomach felt stuffy. Jennie sighed, sweeping down her face.

"Ahh...."

Sitting on her floor, Jennie took a few long deep breaths. She didn't even run that long, but her heart was beating like it was going to explode. But she knew that it wasn't because she ran.

The hallway was quiet. She couldn't hear anything that could be mistaken for Taehyung's footsteps. Jennie struggled to get up and barely walked to her bed. And she eventually collapsed onto the bed as soon as he got close.

Jennie lifted her blanket and crawled into it. With her face buried in the pillow, she pulled the duvet up to her head.

She then screamed, stomping her feet.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah...!"A scream, clogged with thick cloth, echoed through the bedroom.

From where to where did Taehyung remember? Don't tell me he remembers everything. No, looking at his attitude a little while ago, it must have been so. A small moan leaked through her red lips.

But now he was treating Jennie naturally like his real wife. He was polite, but unlike before when he drew a line, he approached her without hesitation, though often mischievous. They even recently started sleeping and waking up in the same bedroom!

Heat rose in her face. Jennie bit her lip.

'He's a sly person....'

When did he get his memories back? On the first day, Taehyung had apparently lost his memory of her. He couldn't even remember where his room was or where the dining room was. As they ate together, he asked why he had become the son-in-law.

Was his memory back when she broke into his room wearing a see-through lingerie saying that she would teach him how to sleep with a woman? Or on a day when she forced him to take her hunting, and had an intense love making session in the cottage, not knowing when someone might come in? When she talked about the fake absurd proposal?... What was that letter?

"If it's a letter I wrote before we got married and brought it here, it was probably meant to be delivered to you."

"I think I was trying to convey that message to you."

"......."

Her cheeks were burning hot. Did Taehyung have his memories back then? If so, what was he thinking when he said that? Jennie covered her red face with her hands. She was embarrassed and seemed to faint at any moment.

"Really, what is happening?"

Why didn't he say anything? To make fun of her? If not....

The more she thought, the more her mind went into a mess. She couldn't think properly because she kept thinking about all the hijinks she had done in front of him.

Jennie shook her head quickly, scattering the horrific memories of herself. She jumped out of her seat, shoved her money into a bag, which was only packed with simple clothes.

'I don't know, whatever. Let's get out of here for now. 'Right now, she couldn't face Taehyung. Jennie decided to go to Rebecca's house first.

As she opened the front door, she saw a gloomy sky. It was still early in the morning. Jennie grabbed her luggage and sneaked out of the house. She feels like a thief. The bag in her hand was heavy. She had only just crossed the front door but her arm hurt.

Looking at the apple blossoms on which the night dew had fallen, Jennie's expression darkened. This was her home, where she was born and raised, and handed down to her by her father. For some reason, she felt like she was being kicked out, and she felt resentful.

But she soon repented. Because it was her who was at fault. He had lost his memory and was confused, and she tried to take advantage of the opportunity and pretended to be a real wife. It was clear that Taehyung thought it was ridiculous. He was also probably angry.

Was that why he deliberately pretended not to remember so that he could prank her? She understood, but....

"It's too much.... Heuk...."

That's what she said, but Jennie felt that she had also done the same thing as Georgia. She was so sorry and ashamed that she couldn't stand it.'We'll never see each other again.'

Jennie sobbed away to the stable. A young man who had been cleaning the stable since early morning found her and quickly lowered his head.

"My Lord."

"Thomas...." (TN: flashback to Chapter 1 ).

"What brings you here at this hour...."

Jennie pointed to Taehyung's large black horse instead of the usual gentle brown horse. Thomas immediately brought the horse before Jennie.

"Shall I bring the carriage?"

"No, it's okay. I'll ride the horse to where I can rent a carriage. And get on the back too."

"What?"

"When you come back, you have to bring back the horse."

"......?"

Jennie now had neither the time to prepare her carriage nor she could afford the commotion. It was early in the morning anyway, so there wouldn't be many people watching. It was funny to ride her horse in her dress, but she could put her cloak on. Jennie wanted Taehyung to notice her absence as late as possible.

'He won't even look for me anyway.'

She left the stable with Thomas holding the reins of the horse, holding back her tears. A cold wind blew. The early morning was cold. Jennie hugged her shoulder and trembled as she felt colder than when she entered the stable.

"Jennie."

"......!"

Before Jennie could even ride her horse, she had to be caught by Taehyung.

Even in the dark, those black eyes were clearly visible. He was a person she saw while living in the same house for 3 years, but his eyes were very scary today.

Taehyung walked over to Jennie without a word. Jennie's shoulders shrank at his strange intimidation. She fidgeted behind Thomas, who sensed something was wrong, but the couple didn't have time to care about him.

As soon as Taehyung approached Jennie, he grabbed her wrist first. Jennie was so surprised that she didn't even think to shake it off.Where he touched her, she could feel his large hand transmitting a soft tremble. It felt like he was trying hard not to crush her wrist. Jennie's lips trembled.

"...Tae, Taehyung...."

"......."

He did not answer. However, she could hear him clenching his tightly closed mouth. He also seemed to be furious. To the point where Jennie felt afraid of Taehyung.

Taehyung pulled Jennie closer. Then he turned back and headed for the mansion. Jennie had no choice but to be dragged by him, as he was holding her wrist.

"I..., this bag...."

Thomas' voice came from behind, but Taehyung didn't answer. Jennie also couldn't afford to answer him.

Slightly disheveled black hair, a crumpled shirt, a big hand that was shaking as he clenched her wrist. His appearance, which was different from usual, was even terrifying. Most of all, she didn't know what was going on now. What was Taehyung going to do? What will happen to her?

"Oh...!"

Jennie tripped on her feet as she was having many different thoughts. Her body staggered with a ligtt scream. Before she fell, strong arms grabbed her waist. Unintentionally, Jennie was embraced by Taehyung. Taehyung's face was contorted as if in pain.

It was harder for Jennie to see his present face than it was to see Taehyung's angry face. She didn't say anything and turned her head away. Then she heard Taehyung hurriedly inhaling his breath.
