The Dream...Or Was It; Chapter 36

Mabels POV

I woke up at 6 am to get ready for work until I realised that I don't work...well, I still do a little on the side

I got up from the bed to see a picture frame at the side of the bed

it was a picture with me and Sage... but we looked older

I eventually got up from the bed to see the bed was...different

I went up to the mirror to see my face..it looked different

I then took a look around the room to see it was all different

Then I heard someone coming up the steps

"Hey Mabel," I heard a familiar voice say when entering the room

"h...hello?" I said back

"You better be awake enough for breakfast," the person said

I rubbed my eyes to see if it was Sage who was talking

"Sage?"

"duh anyways I made pancakes!" She said

"Oh..ok," I said back

I followed her to the kitchen, which was actually kinda nice

"I added blueberries as well,"

"Oh nice," I said back

I still had no idea what was going on . I... ...was i even the same age or cause in the photo, i looked older

"Hey, also they loved the presentation."

"Who.."

"You know the job that im applying for the one near clothing shop you own," Sage said

"Oh, like the sweater buissness I ran until I was 19 or 20...wait, how old am I?" I asked Sage

Sage looked at me confused

"Mabel, you're 30"

"30?"

"...years old," Sage said

"Oh.. yeah, i know I was just... messing with you, " I said back, pretending to know what was happening

"Oh anyways, I'll see you -"

"Wait, where are you going?" I asked Sage

"Oh, the company asked if I could come in later, but I'll be home soon," She said before closing the door and leaving

Great... now I'm just sitting here with a waffle and

*RING RING*

wait, was that my phone?

I looked at my phone to see Pacifica was calling

*Mabel answers the phone*

May: Hello

Paz: Hey Mabel, did you pick up Elise and Emery from the school?

May: What?

Paz: Don't play dumb with me. You know I'm at work right now, and you're my only option

May: What about Dipper?

Paz:he's at work to...surprised your bit, though I thought the clothing store wanted you in every day?

May: ...ok what clothing store?

Paz: the one you work at

May: So the sweater shop?

Paz: No, you work with generalised clothing

May: ok, this is some kind of joke. im hanging up now

Paz: and pick the twins up from school -

May: Paz, there not even a year old they don't go to school

Paz: Mabel, they're ten

May: ok then bye

*Call ends*

I...I hope this is a joke

i then saw a message from Pacifica with locations to a school

it had a message underneath saying
'I know you know where it is, but just in case you had too much sugar'

jeez, I guess I still have sugar...at 30

wait, have I time travelled?

"Is this some sort of time travel?" I said into the plain air

no response

"What about a dream?"

still no response

I then saw a paper calander nearby

perfect, I'll finally know what year it is

ok, let's see....Feb 29th...wait, there shouldn't be a 29th in this year that was the last year...

...wait

I ran back to the mirror to go look in my reflection to see myself in my normal 20 year old body, then looked at the year

"ok, maybe it was a dream... but I'm still in the same room," I said to myself

I then looked back at the mirror and saw myself in the 30 year old body... then looked at the year, then the mirror, then the year, then

"Aah," I said as I woke up

I turned on the light then saw my room then ran to the mirror

"I look like myself,"

then i called for Sage's name

no response

my house looked the same...must had been a dream then

...wonder if I'll get any more like that?

this is kinda a chapter I wanted to write because it was feb 29th, but yeh

also its nearly march like we're nearly 3 months into 2024

also its almost been 6 months of starting this book, but kinda 4 cause I left it and then came back to it
