Squelch!

The sound of the knife plunging into his eye was deafening. Loud in the silence of the room.

Lelouch screamed.

Satisfied, Suzaku looked at the eye displayed on the end of his sword, the vibrant red of the geass slowly fading dull. He smiled, triumphant.

Clutching his eye, Lelouch began to smile, laughing through the pain as the vibrant red of his blood dripped down his cheek. It was warm, heating up his cold skin like a morning fire. His laughs echoed.

Observing the eye, Suzaku's smile dropped.

Lelouch. He'd been his slave for as long as he could remember, really. Spending his days by his side and waiting patiently for his next order. Mindlessly killing Britannians and coming back to His Highness whilst covered in their blood.

"Well done, my knight," he'd say, and Suzaku would smile. Why? Because he knew that no matter how tainted his hands were, no matter how much he'd sinned, His Highness would always be by his side. His Highness would never leave him.

Yet, the hatred that plagued his mind and blurred his vision was so overpowering that he'd acted on instinct. He'd hurt his emperor, and mistakes never went unpunished.

Overwhelmed, Suzaku hummed, palming the eye and backing away.

"Come back to me, Suzaku. My knight... This isn't over!"

He ignored Lelouch's commands, closing his eyes as he turned on his heels, walking slowly out of the cave.

Mission Completed.
