Thankfully, Kayleigh was able to get Leo on board for the trip to Charming and the following morning after a very tense breakfast, they and Andrew got in the car and headed for their destination.

Kayleigh sat up front with Andrew while Leo chose to sit in the backseat by himself.

The fourteen-year-old was concerned about the younger boy. Although he was actually not her sibling by blood, she knew that she would likely always view him as her little brother.

After all, they had spent a huge part of their lives believing that they were brother and sister.

Catching Leo's gaze in the rear view mirror for a few seconds at one point during the drive, Kayleigh sent him a small smile of reassurance.

It took a few more seconds but Leo eventually smiled slightly back at her before turning his gaze back toward the window beside him.

Kayleigh could feel her stomach do a couple of flips when she saw the sign indicating that they were finally entering Charming but she pushed the feeling of anticipation aside for both Andrew and Leo's sake.

A short time later, Kayleigh caught sight of a sign with the words 'Welcome to Charming' written in big bold letters on it.

The fourteen-year-old had a heavy feeling in the pit of her stomach at the idea of meeting a set of parents that she'd never even known existed before.
