Expectations

The life of a girl growing up in rural America, often goes in one of two directions; girl grows up, gets pregnant, welfare, married, divorced and pregnant and married again. So not surprisingly, kids spent a lot of time searching to find someone to initiate the expected ridiculous cycles of threats and regrets, but not Raven. Raven, was born into the vicious cycle, but refused to allow past circumstances and situations to dictate her future. Raven's journey was before her, and she would be faced with many obstacles along the way, but non more difficult than facing her owns thoughts and fears that lay ahead.

Can I just keep it real? Life as a teenager isn't anything close to what I imagined. Loved by some, liked by most, hated by few, and in my own rite, admired by many. With that note, I would like to tell you about people I'be come across in each of the above.
I guess I can say that most of those who love me are supposed to love me because these souls are my family members. I know, one may say that family doesn't have a choice, about loving another family member, but that's would be a lie. Many of my family members don't know me or anything about me, nor would they ever take the time to try to learn anything about me. So love from family members is often subjective. Sometimes they love you, or sometimes they don't.
Parents, i'm told share unconditional love with their children; at least they share it with me at the moment. I know that some parents love to a point and if the child does something unspeakable, such as stealing, killing or destroying something or someone, then parents often cut the love switch and sometime never want to see or speak to their children again. I don't have to worry about that, my mom has been around long enough to know that I am anything but perfect and she is still here. I don't plan on ever doing anything to test her love level any time soon.
