Steve is dead. I can't believe it. All this work getting to the Dessarin Valley, getting robbed, getting some of my equipment back which included getting new shit, getting some spare change just to keep myself a float and I find the damn Cult Hunters that Steve was with and what? Just to see that his dead mangled corpse is inside some blue haired dude's bag of holding? I'm surprised that he even managed to even fit him in there. I guess it's because of the big mouth of the bag. If only I was faster. If only I learned about his disappearance a week earlier. Oh Gods.
They tell me that they're working on fixing the fact that he's dead but I don't believe them. Steve had a shitty life and it's all because of me. I doubt his soul even wants to come back here to this world. Wh-why did he even leave Waterdeep? He finally had a stable life. He had an apartment, two jobs one of which he was a manager in a magic item shop, and, from what I've heard, made some new friends that aren't criminals like me. I did send him time to time apology cards and some books I'd think he would like but ever since we argued about me "bugging [him]," and that I'm "a psychotic criminal that only cares about [myself]," he never responded to those letters and apology cards. Maybe I did bug him to the point that he wanted to leave Waterdeep. Honestly, at this point I believe that when it comes to adventurers is that they either looking for something or they're trying to get themselves killed. That applies to him and that applies to me as well. I was looking for him. He was my holy grail in my epic quest, and now he's gone. There's no way to bring him back no matter how much either you or I want to.
