Back in the room where Chaeyoung, Mina and Tzuyu were, the Maknae spoke again, "Turns out you were right," Tzuyu admitted, addressing Mina directly. "The movie was nothing more than political propaganda filled with countless sexualized scenes but no real argument."
"I'm truly sorry, Tzu," Mina apologized, her voice heavy with regret. "I kept it from you because I heard about the script from a friend who received the same proposal. I believed it was merely a ridiculous project with the intention of cause controversy. But you were correct; I had no right to hide that information from you. I realized that you were capable of making your own decisions, and if you needed advice, you would have sought it. I didn't afford you that opportunity, and for that, I apologize," Mina sigh while seeing her friend in the eye and continued.
"Also, I want you to know that I didn't mean any of the hurtful things I said. I was merely projecting my own frustrations and insecurities onto you. You were right; I'm constantly striving for perfection, but often, in trying to exceed everyone's expectations, I only make matters worse, as I did with you."
Tzuyu listened to Mina's words carefully, feeling a mix of emotions swirling within her. She could sense the sincerity in Mina's apology, and it touched her deeply.
"Thank you for your honesty and your apology," Tzuyu began, her voice softer now. "I was really mad at you, and still I think you should work on sharing your emotions, but also, after a few days thinking about it, I understood that you were trying to protect me in your own way, even though, the way you did it was completely wrong. But I know you have your own struggles and insecurities." She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts before continuing, "I forgive you, well, the truth is I couldn't be mad at you forever, even if I want to. But from now on, let's promise to talk with each other, even if it's difficult. We're a team, and we should support each other through the good times and the bad."
Mina nodded in agreement, relief washing over her as she realized the weight of her mistakes. "I promise, Tzuyu. I'll do better from now on."
Suddenly, Chaeyoung interjected, cutting through the emotional moment shared between her friends. "Yes, that was beautiful, the friendship and love and everything, but why am I here?"
Tzuyu burst into laughter before responding, "Well, actually, you and Nayeon were the only ones who didn't know anything about it. Nayeon wasn't here because of her vacation, and I told her on our way from the airport earlier. As for you, I didn't tell you because..." Tzuyu hesitated, but Chaeyoung finished her sentence.
"Because I'm too close to Mina Unnie," Tzuyu nodded with an apologetic smile as Chaeyoung continued, "Well, I understand. Mina told me you fought, actually, so no resentments for not sending even a single message to your best friend in a month," Chaeyoung said while scoffing.
"I'm so sorry, Chae. I was just so mad at Mina Unnie that I didn't want you to tell her anything about me, and when I realized the situation, I was just too embarrassed to text you," Tzuyu confessed, scratching the back of her neck.
"Well, since all of this is in the past now, why don't we go back to the others and have dinner? I heard Dahyun and Jeongyeon went to buy some special food for you; they should be back now," Mina suggested, standing up and offering her hand to Tzuyu, who accepted it. Together, they walked out of the room with happy smiles on their faces.
"Yes, let the short pretty girl be alone," Chaeyoung scoffed, making her way out of the room after being ignored by her friends.
As they stepped into the kitchen, all seven of their friends turned to see them, a palpable tension hanging in the air as they awaited some kind of resolution.
"We're good now," Tzuyu declared, raising her hands intertwined with Mina's, ensuring everyone could see.
"Oh, that's a relief. I was afraid we were about to plan a funeral, and honestly, I'm not up for the effort right now. Maybe we could just hide a body instead," Momo quipped, focusing on unpacking the food.
