Engfa’s POV

I park in my garage and get out. I really should wash the Porsche and get it ready for the race on Friday.

I walk into my house, and it's about 4:30 p.m. My house is a decent size—not too big, not too small. I look to my right and look at the piano that's in my living room. I can't look at it for too long because it always gets me sad and makes me want to cry.

I go straight to my room and take my clothes off to take a shower. I need a cold shower really badly. The cold water will help me get my mind straight.

I turn the shower on, and then I look at myself in the mirror and look at my tattoos. I only have two tattoos. I have three birds on my right collarbone that are flying and a wolf hollowing at the moon on my left rib. I'll probably get more in the future, but for now, these will do.

I get under the water, and I tense up because of how cold the water is, but then I relax a few minutes later. Today has been such a long day. I quickly shower and get out since I can barely stand.

I get dressed quickly, and before I can jump in bed and stay there the whole day, my phone starts ringing. I groan and look at my phone. I don't recognise the number, but I answer anyway.

"Hello." "Hi, is this Ms. Waraha?" I hear a guy ask, but I don't recognise his voice. "Yes, this is she."

"I'm calling on behalf of Ms. Austin, she would like to meet with you tomorrow, if it's possible, to talk about the process of everything." Well, that was fast; it's only been a couple hours.

"Ummm, sure, yeah, what time?" I ask.

"At 11 a.m., she would like for you to come to her office, I will send you the address." The guys say.

"Okay, sounds good." I say, and then I hang up.

How do I always find myself in these situations? I literally bumped into the woman so hard it's embarrassing. Now I have to be working with her for, god knows, how long. Why, just why?

I sit down on my bed and get my laptop out to go over my financial stuff. I donate a lot to charities, so I double check to make sure everything has run smoothly. My phone starts ringing again while I'm checking my emails, and I just want to grab it and throw it out the window.

I look at the caller ID, and it's Chompu.

"Hey Chompu"

"Hey Fa, how are you? How did it go with your dad?" She asks. I explain the whole thing to her and also mention me bumping into the hazel-eyed women.

"No, you didn't? You bumped into her, why?" She asks while she laughs.

I can't help but roll my eyes. "I was running late, and I wasn't looking at where I was going."

"Damn, it's going to be awkward tomorrow when you see her." She informs, which I obviously know.

"I called to ask if you want to go out again tomorrow, but you're busy, so I'll let you be." She adds.

"I'm sorry, Chompu. I promise to make it up to you guys." "We're going to look forward to that." She says, chuckling. "Love you." She adds. "I love you too, and tell Tina and Nudee I said hi and tell them about how it went with my dad, I won't have time to call them." "Will do, bye," she says, and I say bye too and hang up. I close my laptop, change into pyjamas, and put on a movie. I am not going to answer another call or get out of bed until tomorrow morning.

I woke up at 8 this morning so I could have enough time to go to the gym, take a shower, and make it to the meeting on time.

I have a gym in the house, it's a medium-sized gym. I like to work out; it helps me stay in shape and helps me calm my body. I've taken a lot of self-defence classes, and I did a little bit of boxing too. It is safe to say that I can handle myself pretty well.

I quickly take a shower after working out and grab my car keys for my Audi. I get in my car and put in the address on my phone so I can have directions on where to go.

As I'm getting closer, I realise that the building is actually not that far from my club. The building is huge, with at least 50 floors. I quickly find a parking spot and head inside the building.

When I step inside, I can see that everyone is busy working, and no one has acknowledged me for coming in. I walk to the front desk lady, and she looks up at me.

"Hello, what can I help you with?"

"I have a meeting with Ms. Austin at 11 a.m." I glance at my watch just to be sure I'm not late, and I see that it's 10:55.

"Oh yes, Ms. Waraha, she's waiting for you. Take the elevator to the 47th floor and take a right turn; her office is at the end of the hall."

"Thank you; have a great day."

I don't know how I feel about this. For some reason, I'm getting nervous. I walk into the elevator, and there are 57 floors. I click 47 and wait patiently. It actually doesn't take that long for the elevator to reach the floor.
I walk out and go to my right, and at the end of the hall, I can see that next to the door, it says Charlotte Austin. I take a deep breath and knock three times.

"Come in."

I open the door and go in, and her office is so huge. She's sitting at her desk, and she looks up at me, and those bright hazel eyes lock with mine. How can someone's eyes be that beautiful? Like Autumn sky. I realise that I'm staring. Again.

"Hi Ms. Austin, I was told you would like to meet with me today."

"Yes, it's going to be a quick meeting. I just wanted to ask for your schedule and what days you would like to work, and just quickly go over the main points of the project, and you're welcome to sit down." She adds

I take a seat on the chair right in front of her.

"I'm free most of the time, what time do we usually have to meet and what days, if you don't mind me asking?" I question. Of course, I'm not free most of the time, but I can't just tell her that.

"That's good to hear, and I'm not sure the days and time can change." She informs me. She gets up to grab a piece of paper to show me something. I quickly look at her desk, she has a picture of a beautiful little girl on it, maybe her daughter.

I don't think she's married though because she doesn't wear a ring. Yes I checked. I snap out of my thoughts when she clears her throat and shows me the paper.

"As you can see here, we will start the advertisement and get the plans ready to start the school this week. But I won't need your help until Friday. Are you free on Friday?"

Oh no, no, no, racing is on Friday, and I'm in bad need of a race.

"What time?" I question.

"Unfortunately, this one is a little bit late since we are going to be advertising at an event, so I would say around 9."

Damn it, races start at 10. Why, just why? I can't tell her no because then I would have to hear my father yelling at me for days.

"Yeah, that's fine." I mumble. "Pardon me, what did you say?" "Yes, I'm free on Friday at 9." I say it a bit louder, and she nods.

"Is that your daughter?" I blurted it out without meaning to. She looks up from her papers, and she's a little shocked that I've asked.

"I'm so sorry, it's not my business, I didn't mean to." I quickly apologised.

"It's fine, yes, she is; she is two years old, and she's my whole world." You can see the love she has for her daughter in her eyes. I don't think she was expecting to answer me, so she quickly clears her throat, and her expression changes to something I can't read.

"That would be it. I will be in contact with you to keep you updated on things and send you the event address for Friday."

"Thank you; I would appreciate that." I say this as I'm getting up. I reach out my hand and wait for her to shake it.

"It was nice seeing you again." I add that my hand is still out in front of her for her to shake. She just nods and shakes my hand. For some reason, I don't want to let go. I just want to hold on to her hand, but she quickly takes it back.

I turn around and quickly go out of her office and building. What is this woman doing to me? I've never felt like this before.
