Do you see that girl over there?
Laughing with her friends
Eyes bright
Always smilingDo you see that girl over there?
Zoned out of the conversation
Four calls of her name, then finally, her attention
"Sorry" then slight smiles and zoning out againDo you see that girl over there?
Sitting alone
Tear stains down her faceDo you see that girl over there?
Wearing pants and long sleeves
It's the middle of July
She looks thinnerDo you see that girl over there?
Empty eyes
Head down
She looks fragileDo you see that girl over there?
Nobody's heard her voice in months
Harsh words thrown at her
She never did anything wrongDid you see that girl over there?
She was on the news this morning
Her parents found her last night
Blood on her arms and hanging from her ceiling
Finally flyingDo you see those kids over there?
Regret seen into their souls
It wasn't supposed to go this far
