"Omg you wont believe this Kokei, I placed first my hard work has paid off ≧◉◡◉≦ " Sakura said
"Wow great job, I didn't do too well unfortunately" he replied
"awe really? but you were always first??" Sakura replied
Damian sighed, sliding his phone back into his pocket leaning against the wall and waiting for Emile and Ewen to join him outside the cafeteria. "Hey, hey, look who's all alone," came the irritatingly familiar voice. The dazzling Emilie smiled warmly at Damian, her charm almost palpable. Despite his inner turmoil, Damian remembered his father's request and swallowed his pride. "Hello," he forced out, his smile strained as his eye twitched slightly.
Her eyes lit up with excitement upon noticing his lack of hostility. She grabbed his arm excitedly, her soft pink lips curling into a smile. "Eat lunch with me today," she asked eagerly. Damian felt the urge to let out an annoyed groan, but he held it back. "No can do, promised my friends" he said, forcing the words out nicely while holding back his anger.
"Awe, come on... we can sit in private so that no one sees us," she said in a flirty tone, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him pleadingly. Damian fought the urge to gag, cringing at the sudden softness of her tone and facial expression.
As Damian mulled over his dilemma, Emilie's flirtatious charm only seemed to heighten, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Why would I even consider that?" Damian wondered, feeling a bit cornered by Emilie's persistent enthusiasm.
Putting on a forced smile, he tried to navigate the situation smoothly. "Well, you see, I sort of promised my buddies I'd hang with them during lunch," Damian explained, hoping she'd take the hint.
But Emilie wasn't one to give up easily. "Oh, cool! Mind if I crash your party?" she asked, her tone light and playful. Damian hesitated, realizing that refusing outright might just complicate things further. "Fine," he conceded with a hint of irritation, knowing he couldn't afford to upset his father again.
Damian stepped out onto the familiar rooftop, his footsteps echoing in the empty space. His hand tightened around the can of coffee he brought along, a small comfort in the face of the impending annoyance. As he scanned the area, he realized with a sinking feeling that his comrades hadn't arrived yet. This meant he was left alone, with none other than the most irritating girl he knew, he knew he had to interrogate her.
Damian's voice carried a sharp edge as he addressed Emilie, his frustration evident in his tone. "What do you want from me?" he demanded, his words tinged with aggression.
Emilie's smile widened at his tone, finding his agitation amusing. "Oh, Damian, always so serious," she replied playfully, taking a step closer to him. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she locked gazes with him, enjoying the effect she had on him.
Damian clenched his jaw, resisting the urge to roll his eyes at her flirtatious demeanor. He took a step back, trying to create some distance between them. "I don't have time for your games, Emilie, I want an answer, What are you after" he snapped, his frustration bubbling to the surface.
Emilie's cheerful facade remained intact as she responded to Damian's frustration. "I'm just interested in you," she said, her smile unwavering. "You're so tense, Damian. Not everyone who speaks to you is after something," she added, her tone light and playful.
Despite her seemingly innocent words, Damian couldn't shake the feeling of unease. Her cheerful demeanor felt forced, and he couldn't shake the suspicion that she had ulterior motives. He eyed her warily, unwilling to let his guard down in her presence.
Damian forced a smile, though it felt more like a grimace. "Yeah, maybe I am too tense," he replied, his father's words echoing in his mind.
"See? You just need to let down your walls," Emilie chirped, her arms enveloping him in an unexpected hug. Her delicate hands rested on his tense shoulders, and Damian felt a wave of discomfort wash over him.
He stood frozen, his arms dangling limply at his sides, unsure of how to respond. Despite his unease, fear of his father's disapproval kept him from pushing Emilie away.
