First and harsh contact

*Location: Above Everfree forest. Starline, in a small hovercraft, slowly floats up to Angel Island. Starline stares straight forward, eye to eye with Eggman. Both doctors stare at each other for what feels like an eternity, neither saying anything. Dr. Eggman snaps his fingers activating his metal creations. Dr. Starline returns the action by mimicking it, activating his blue and red mecha creations. Eggman leans forward, a mean grimace crossing his face. Starline lowers his head but not his eyes, continuing to stare down Eggman. Eggman breathes out of his nose, flaring his nostrils and slightly raising his lips, while pushing his voice box to make a slight "Hm" noise. Eggman then raises a hand to stroke his mustache as he finally breaks the silence.*

Eggman: They say mimicry should be a sign of flattery. What I would consider flattering is if these copies of my metals could compete with them, but it seems unfair. Five on two? Tch tch tch. Too bad Metal Sonic isn't here right now, but we can suffice. Metal Knuckles- Metal Thorn, attack.

*Starlines beak rises to point toward the sky as he raises his head and quickly points his index finger toward Eggman, signaling to his Mechas to fight. The four creations clash. Meanwhile, in the Dragon lands, Spike flys alongside Knuckles toward the Dragon Kings cave with group #4 closely sprinting behind. Inside the Dragon Kings cave, Spike is seen lovingly embracing Ember as she awkwardly pats his head in return. Ember looks up seeing Knuckles. Knuckles nods his hat downward, signifying a "hello". Ember reciprocates by nodding her head downward. Spike unclenches Embers leg as she starts asking questions.*

Ember: So, who's the stranger?

Spike: He's Knuckles and he needs our help. Actually, they all do.

*Ember raises an eye brow as she looks back up, seeing the rest of group #4 just arrive at the entrance of the cave. Apple Jack nods her hat to say "hello". Ember gets a dose of déjà vu as she becomes visibly confused, but she reciprocates the greeting by nodding her head downward.*

Ember: They're not staying here, are they?

Knuckle: Nope, we just need help searching for something. It's here, in the Dragon lands.

Ember: And that would be?

Spike: It's a magical gem!

Ember: And you want... dragons to help with that...?

AJ: We were hoping you could control them well enough to sniff it out, but not eat it.

Ember: Let me guess, this is a really bad thing for all Equestria and it's not just something I could deny knowing my subjects are in danger?

Spike: Yup.

Ember: *Sigh* Alright, give me a while. This is going to be stressful.

*Meanwhile, in Canterlot, Sonic and Rainbow speed away which leaves the group to lag behind. Sonic sticks close to Rainbow but they search separate alleys before meeting back in the middle. In a matter of minutes, group #1 has searched most of the Kingdom. Sonic notices a member trying to catch up so he slows down for a moment to talk to the resistee.*

Resistee #2: Mister Sonic, according to the trackers, we've searched about half of the kingdom not including the mountain or castle.

Sonic: Thanks. Take half of the group and search the rest of the way. Rainbow!

*RD slows down to listen to Sonic. The resistee leaves Sonic's side.*

Sonic: Your flying is better for searching the mountain. I'll search the castle. Take this tracker.

Rainbow: On it!

*Meanwhile, in cloudsdale, group #3 is the first to find their emerald. Just as Tangle is about to stash the emerald she is kicked so strongly that gravity doesn't have enough time to catch up as the emerald stays floating in place. This new comer collects the emerald before it can fall using levitation magic. Everyone looks to where the commotion started, seeing a quadruped animal that looks oddly familiar. Whisper becomes angry and raises her gun to this stranger. A blue wisp floats out from behind Whisper, a similar angry tone sown into it's face as it phases into the Wispon which charges it. The violet being turns around, showing its cold metallic emotionless face. Fluttershy is scared by this sight but feels she has to step up too. The rest of the group pull out their wispons, charging it with their own wisps.*
