~Ten years later~

Click, Clack

“Oh she cute”

Clack, Click

“Yeah she’s pretty fine, but don’t you think something I don’t know something is wrong about her or something different”

Click, Clack

“Well duh, of course there’s something different with her, she like the prettiest girl in the world, no universe”

Clack, Click

“I don’t know, but seriously dude just look at her for a second, something seems strange. We’ve been in the same school as her for like 3 years.”

Clack Click

“Now that I think about, she has no friends. And I don’t think she.....talks.”

Clack Click

“See haven’t you notice she’s strange, she doesn’t talk. She cute and hot that's for sure. But she weird and I hate to say it a loner”

Misumi’s POV

I was lost in my thoughts, just walking around school campus trying to find out how to get out of this building. Well, I think everyone knows how to get out it’s just how do I say it.............I have a really bad sense of direction. Yes! Finally the exit is just at the end of this corridor. I began to head my way there. On my way I hear two of my class mates whispering to each other and sending “secretive” glances towards me. Geez if their talking about me can’t they say it a bit quieter?

 “Now that I think about, she has no friends. And I don’t think she.....talks.”

Hmmm their right, I have no friends in this school. It’s just; I like to be left alone. And what are they saying of course I talk! Just when nobody’s around and it’s just me.

Loner..... Lone....... alone. That’s how I feel. I know I have a family, but they’re not really my real parents. It’s like I don’t feel welcomed anywhere. Don’t get me wrong, I love my parents. It’s just I’m not with for 247, and yes I am what they call a “Loner”. I quickly ran out the door. Shutting the door behind me with more force then necessary. Oh well.

As soon as I’m out of the school, I reach for my bag. And pull out a sheet of crumpled paper. Presenting that I have used it many times.  A hand drawn map. Yep! My dad drew it for me. It’s the direction and way from school to my house, hehe. I did mention I have a bad sense of direction. I start following the directions to my house. Not even 15 mins later. I stand in something sticky. Blood. I quickly grab my weapon from my bag. With just one click, it unravels to become my compound bow. Did I mention, that my parents are world renowned vampire hunters, and that they have been training me for 8 years. I quickly follow the traces of blood, and it leads me to a door of a rather looking cosy house. At 99 Spring Chill Rd. Wait, this is my house, my home. I didn’t need to be told twice I quickly ran through the door hoping to find my parents somewhere.

I quickly dash to the living ro- Mum! Dad! I see both my parents battling for life. Before I could reach them something pushes me towards the ground with great force. It took me by surprise, since I was only focusing on my parents. Oh course I should of kept a look out.

“You are very beautiful child”

I knew it, a vampire, not just any vampire, a level E vampire. Grrrr he’s probably the one who has inflicted pain towards my family.

“Your parents, have killed all my comrades already. But Oh well, I guess more food for me.”Sniff Sniff

“And I guess it was worth my time, has anyone told you have the best smelling blood. This is my lucky day.”

So there was more than one vampire, no wonder my parents turned out like that. I know that they are one of the best vampire hunters. But there would have been more vampires then two people can handle. Expert or not. I quickly came back to my senses, to realise the vampire, is about to suck me dry. I remember I’m still holding my bow. Stupid woman! How could you forget?! I quickly grab and arrow, place it in my bow and shot it at the vampire. That took 2 seconds. The next thing you know the vampire is screaming of pain. And then he disappeared. I look around the room. Sensing if there are any more vampires. None.

“mmmmmm”

Mum! Dad! I quickly ran to them, I completely spaced out. I start shaking them, to see If their ok. Their barely alive.

“Misumi, I’m glad you ok. Your dad and I were unprepared. And that was our mistake. We are so proud of you hunny”

I could feel, my eyes burning. I know what they’re trying to say, goodbye. Bu- But I can take them to the hospit-

“Misumi, I know what you’re thinking and as your dad, you listen to me. Don’t waste your energy on taking us to the hospital. Your mum and I have already accepted Death”.

I nod my head

 “Make us proud, darling live up to the name Takakashi.”

I again nod my head.

“I-I-I love you mummy and daddy.”

My mother gasps and starts crying, and my father stares at me shock written in his face.

“Hunny, that is the first time you had said anything to us. Your father and I love you too, very very much.”

And with said, they slowly closed their eyes. With a content smile on their faces. Goodbye.

~1 Week Later~

Yesterday my parents were buried next to each other. I decided to aimlessly walk around their room, just curious to find what’s in here. I walk to my Father’s study desk, and remember all  those happy memories that we had shared. I continued to look around when I found a letter. I turned it around to find out who it’s for. And Surprisingly it was for me. I quickly ripped open the envelope and started to read what was written.

Dear Misumi,

If you are currently reading this letter, that means that both your mum and I have passed away. I need you to be strong. Don’t give up hope. I have arranged for a place for you to study and live with for now on. Go find Kaien Cross, you will stay at his academy. Don’t worry I have drawn you another map.

After I finished reading the letter I didn’t know what to think, should I go? Of course I should it was my dad’s last wishes. I decided to leave tomorrow.

~2 Days Later~

With my sense of directions, instead of it taking me a few hours to get to Kaien Cross, it took me two days. But finally! Finally I’m here right in front of umm.......Cross academy? This is a new day, this is a new beginning.
