Moving back to Seoul in November was a bad idea. I basically lived in a sunny, tropical country my whole life who has never experienced winter before, and to be welcomed by the cold, piercing winds of Seoul? Hard pass.

We moved into a small apartment along the bustling streets of Hongdae. It kinda reminded me of Thailand, the smell of the street food vendors, small shops that sells weird, random things you would never need and vibrant street performances. It was all too familiar.

After a week of settling in, I felt more comfortable in this new, cold environment. My mom and I met up with our relatives and it definitely helped me to brush up on my Korean. It was heartwarming to see them after so many years, the last time I saw my grandparents was 5 years ago, when I visited Korea for the first time during my school holidays.

"What are your plans for the future? I mean... are you gonna continue studying or?" Chloe, my friend from Thailand, asked me over FaceTime as I updated her about my time so far in Seoul.

I graduated high school with straight As in Thailand. I never had difficulties studying, I genuinely enjoyed learning a lot. I liked challenging my brain and solving problems...

"I applied and got accepted into Yonsei University. I'm gonna be studying film and media..." I replied.

Photography and videography has always been a passion of mine. I currently post my works on Instagram and garnered a large following over the years. I even worked with a few brands to help produce content for their social media platforms.

Enrolling into this course wouldn't be a bad idea right? I mean I would be able to gain insights on the industry and polish my skills. I hope I made the right decision.
