We came home and immediately slept after enjoying too much and eating as much junk food as we could. I was sleeping but heard a sound of papers turning
I looked around to see ray in her bed covering herself like a ghost with a torch in one hand and a book in places on her bed , turning the pages of the book aggressively
" What..? What are you doing ray? Literally at midnight!? " I said as it was unbelievable she was still studying after midnight
" I can't believe I got hypnotized just like that I have to look into that magician " She said not taking her eyes away from the book
" People need sleep ray.. " I said sleepy and the noise is irritating enough
" No I have to look what it is, or I would not be able to sleep " She said turning the pages again
" Great..good luck " I said as I was too sleepy for this shit as I slept turning to the opposite side
I woke up as it was another day at school and we had to make preparation for the upcoming ball that was happening and we were excited
" Well let's head out guys, we wouldn't want to go late to school today now would we? " Finnely said as she was the one really excited about the ball
We left out house as we reached the school. The school was already in chaos because of the upcoming ball. I was excited too. It was so fancy and looked like so much fun. Our classes in the morning were over and we were walking to the cafeteria when I saw Everyone had their own arrangements going on for the ball . There was a food stand, photobooths and many more . I was looking around when I saw a stand filled with merchandise of IRIS..? I looked at it again because I couldn't believe what I saw and it was an IRIS merchandise collection stand. The kids were setting up the stand for ball.
" Girls... Look over there...." I spoke as everyone turned to where I was pointing towards and saw the merchandise stand
" Ugh they did it again this year..? It's kind of creepy when I see people wearing a shirt with my face on it " Yuna said she looked at the stand with disgust
" Omg..!? My face print looks terrible in that shirt " Cleo said closing her mouth with her hands
" It would have been nice if They could have made something with our theme and not just print our faces on those things " Finnely said as she looked concerned
" Wait..? This happens every year!? I mean I have seen our Graffiti and boards with our faces but what is this " I asked surprised sitting down on one of table in the cafeteria as we came to eat for lunch
"Caitlin, if you did not forget we are public figure that people hate, compare, and lot of people look upto us and make a big fan base of. This is going to happen " Ray said bringing her food
" What she means is that we are basically celebrities when we are not, well they made us into that public status atleast." Cleo explained
" We are basically fans and celebrity rather than us being protectors of earth and them minding their own business or atleast act like a normal human being when they are saved" Yuna said munching on her food
" You guys don't do anything about it? " I asked
" Well we did feel our own type of disgust in this but there was nothing we could do because this is what happens when you are a public figure there is nothing more to it and we can't do anything either" Ray explained
" You'll get used to it, don't worry" Paige said
" Well this would be one hell of a thing to get used to " I said as we started eating our food.
" Guys we have decoration work to do at the ball room so we'll see you guys later? "I said as ray and yuna had one more class in the afternoon
" Ok, we'll see you guys at the library late then " She said as we went to the ball room and they went to their class
"Woahhh this ball room is really big... " I said astonished at the massive Hall
" Yea it's one of mystic havens pride " Paige said we walked in and started on our decorations
" Caitlin, should we pair the black with any other colour or should we just keep it as white? " Finnely asked decorating the chairs and tables.
" I think black would be enough and the extra colour we can set it in with the lights " I suggested
" That's great" She said as we continued to do our decorations
"Cleo, did you set up the playlist yet? " I asked working on my decorations
" No!? I keep on finding good ones and I have to change it for another really nice song! Should we just remove the song limit " She suggested as it was kind of a good Idea
"That's a great idea, we'll just remove the limit" I said looking at her wiggling in happiness as she started scrolling ay her phone
I giggled and did my own work and after a bit while we were working we saw the boys come inside the room
"Oh the boys are here should we call them for help , I mean they are doing absolutely nothing" Paige said as we agreed because this large hall needs double the workers, should have realized when no one wanted to participate in the decoration of the hall work..
I went to them as everyone was busy and I was taking a rest. I walked upto them as I waved them a hi which they returned
" Hey Caitlin, you guys are doing the decoration here? " Max I as I nodded with the pain
" Unfortunately we did volunteer for it, from next year I'm not going to join this" I said as they laughed and I did too
" What were you guys upto" I asked because if they don't have nothing to so they are definitely helping us
"Oh we were just talking about how they should take down that IRIS stall they had and put up vortex ones" Theo said casually as if it was the most normal thing
"What...? " I said confused on what that was
" Yeah! Didn't you see the vedio?? The vedio literally says that vortex is the good guys and IRIS are the bad ones, who knew they were fooling us the entire time " Max said disappointment in his tone
"What? What vedio? " I asked again not knowing what the heck was going on as
" It's practically everywhere really, it's all over social media" Thro said shaking his phone in front of me
" Oh really? Well I'll take a look too" I said waving them a goodbye and walking back to the girls, well more like rushing back to the girls to tell them the news I had heard
" So their helping us? " Cleo asked as she stood up from her chair and walked to where we were
" No.. Guys they just said that the vortex are good and IRIS are bad and that they should take down the stall set up " I said to them as I sat down on a bench nearby
" What..? On a random day? Just like that?? Like so random.. ? " Paige said as I agreed
" They said there was some kind of vedio..? "I added
" Guys she's right look " Finnely tilted the phone for us to see " It is trending all over twiiter and other social medias, it's literally ttrending '#IRIS suck' " She said reading out the trending hastag
"now that's just rude" Cleo said looking at the random hate and hastags
" Guys I think this is the vedio that the guys were talking about" finnely said as she played the vedio
We were surprised as we looked at each others faces because the person the vedio was someone we saw last night
" Isn't that... The hypnotist dude?? " Cleo said pointing her finger towards the screen but soon her vision was blurry amd her brain felt buzzy
She pulled out her phone and started texting yuna as now
Her conclusion was that she was getting hypnotised solving her mystery on if he was using real magic or not, well it was kind obvious after the energy I picked up
" I should have known" She said as she started falling deeper and deeper into the spell he had casted
