Disbelief. Pure and utter disbelief. That is the only thing that can describe how I am currently feeling.
Out of all the things he could have said, he chose to say that. However, what he said cannot be true right?
I seriously can’t be the heir to the thrown. I don’t even know their kingdom yet he claims that I am next in line to become queen!
“You can’t be serious” I ask in disbelief.
I clutch the roots of my hair in a deathly grip, pacing back and forth trying to make sense of what is befalling.
“Do I look like the kind of person who would waste time in such tedious acts?” Damien lifts his left brow making him look irresistibly gorgeous.
Wait, did I just call him gorgeous? Girl get your head out of the clouds, although he does have a point.
“Okay I get what you are insinuating but how exactly do I fit in this whole situation?
Could you explain from the start?” I ask tentatively, anxious that he will shut me out and bluntly refuse to give me answers.
My eyes begin to betray me as they slowly take in his existence once again.
His whole being is so distracting.I can’t let my eyes roam his delectable body but god definitely took his time creating him.
I’m supposed to focus at the matter at hand and not gawk at his Greek physique.
Damien just turns his gaze to Carter, motioning him to explain further. He could have just let Carter explain from the beginning, but no!
He wants to be theatrical and act like the world revolves around him. How egotistical is that. I roll my eyes in frustration and tread over to Carter.
He seems to be a bit flustered by the attention he is receiving, but who could really blame him at this point?
“So Carter, care to enlighten me with regards to the situation at hand?” I ask gesturing my hands towards to the room for effect.
He closes his eyes for a second to long contemplating how to tell me.
His coffee colour hair is tied up in a neat man bun, giving me a full view of his face. Although not as defined as Damien, still attractive.
A slight stubble makes him look somewhat daunting. Nothing that alarms me though. Take it from a girl who watches serial killer documentaries just to relax.
His nose is not as straight as Damien’s, wait why the hell am I comparing Carter to Damien? I think I’m going to cry.
“Centuries ago there were a group of 7 people” he starts cutting me off from my internal rant. Hesitating, he appears to be mentally counting to see if he said the accurate number.
“It’s actually 9”, Jenevie corrects.
Her olive eyes shining brightly as she proudly stands up-right. Does she really think that that was impressive?
“right. There was 9”, Carter laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his head while looking extremely embarrassed. He looks like a toddler. Adorable.
“4 of them were males and 4 were females”, he begins.
Wait, 4 and 4 make 8 so what about the other one? I look at Carter confused and assuming that he got the numbers mixed up again.
“If you are going to explain it to her then at least do it properly”, Levi says with the utmost annoyance anyone could ever muster.
