"I'm so nervous..." You whispered, staring at yourself in the mirror.

"Paimon thinks you need to relax!"

"So does Thoma~!" The pyro user joked, a friendly smile on his face.

"You guys!" You cried, a blush on your face.

It was your wedding day. Your twin brother had been helping you get ready when Aether and Paimon dropped by.

"Honestly, you look beautiful, Xiao will be flustered." Aether offered up, fidgeting in his wedding tux. Somehow, he felt more awkward with less skin showing, and that made you laugh.

Your giggling died down, and your eyes focused on your hands in your lap. You remembered how all of this started.

You had always had a crush on Xiao since you met him. You ignored those feelings for the longest time, taking his somewhat cold mannerism as him signaling he was not interested.

It wasn't until he saw you with Thoma once, and at that point, he didn't realize he was your brother, that he showed the slightest hint of jealousy.

On that day, you were at Liyue Harbor and Thoma had his arm slung around your shoulder, his head resting on yours. You had confessed about a 'certain adeptus' to him, but also had made it clear you didn't think he wanted anything to do with you.
As any brother would do, he pulled you in and tried to give you some words of encouragement.

In the midst of the conversation, you had mentioned Xiao's name, which immediately called the young yaksha to your location.

"You called?" He looked down from his spot on the top of a boat sail, his eyes narrowing at your surprised faces. "I'll have you remove your hands from her. She does not belong to you. Do you know him?" The last part of his question directed at you.

Your eyes widened, and Thoma nervously laughed as his arm dropped from your shoulders, and he used both hands to point at himself.

"I'm her brother. Twins. Twin brother. We are twins." He smiled, his eyes bright despite his nervousness.

That's when Xiao realized you both did look strikingly similar. Bright green eyes, strawberry blonde hair, and he blushed with embarrassment. You and Thoma both took notice of that blush.

"I see.... Sorry. What did you need...?" His golden eyes searched your green ones, and you suddenly felt your knees buckle.

"Eh!?" Thoma let you drop before he yanked you back up, unable to contain the laugher as Xiao appeared beside you, pulling your arm over his shoulder before all but snatching you away from Thoma, slowly walking you to the edge of a short wall you could sit upon.

"Okay, then. I'll let you handle this. I'll go fetch you something to drink. You must be feeling faint." Thoma gave an innocent smile, but you knew better as he scurried off.

From this day on, Xiao had let his guard down slightly, slowly but surely showing you more of his own unique personality.

You smiled, your bright green eyes meeting Thoma's.

"It's almost time." He put his hands on your shoulders before you heard some slight commotion in the hall outside your dressing room.
