Charlie opened the door to the hotel revealing a grand lobby. The furniture and decorations matched the colors of the outside walls with a reddish-pink base color and white/black trim. Unlike the outside however, the design seemed more Victorian era rather than Las Vegas casino style.

What really drew my attention though was the emptiness. For all the grandness in presentation it lacked residents.

"Come on, let me show you around." Charlie said, grabbing my arm and pulling me away from the entrance.

"Here is the bar and our bartender Husk." She said, enthusiastically.

The bar was smaller than I thought with only seating for about five to six people maximum. Husk, the bartender, looked like an anthropomorphic cat with wings and with the look he was giving Charlie I believe he might've been an actual cat when he was alive. The wall behind him was stocked full of different whiskey's, tequila's, bourbons and any other type of alcohol you might fancy. Around the bar were a few tables that sat empty and unused.

"Come on Husk, say hello to our newest guest." Charlie pleaded.

"Welcome to the shitshow kid." He said with a chuckle before taking a swig of a beer he was holding.

"Thanks, I guess?" I replied.

Suddenly Charlie pulled my arm again leading me to the opposite end of the lobby.

"This is the lounge where you can hang out in your free time. It doesn't look like anyone is here at the moment." She pondered to herself for a moment. "Hey Vaggie, do you know where everyone is?"

"Yeah, Al should be by the desk. Angel is at work most of today. And Nifty is... Well actually I don't know where Nifty is." Vaggie replied from right behind me, causing me to jump.

"Holy fuck! When did you get there?" I asked.

"I've been following you guys since Charlie here decided to drag you around."

"Okay. So what's next Charlie." I asked, brushing past the embarrassment I felt of not noticing her.

"Well, since Angel is gone and Nifty is... somewhere. Let's go meet Al and get you your room key."

This time I got to walk with my own two feet instead of being pulled along the very nice decorative carpets that seemed to lay scattered across the ground.

Reaching the main desk I could see a man with beige skin, a pair of deer ears on top of his head and a giant unnatural toothy yellow grin.

"Ahh Charlie, good to see you today. And who's this fine young chap you've found."

"Alastor this is Y/N. He is a brand new sinner in Hell and the newest resident of the hotel." As she spoke I could see Alastor giving me a once over.

"Well that's just splendid. And what room are we going to be giving him?" He replied, almost completely ignoring my existence.

"Let's do room 602."

He seemed confused by the room number she named but summoned the keys from out of nowhere, handing them to her.

"Alright let's get you to your room." Charlie said excitedly.

I began to turn towards the elevators that Charlie was happily walking to when Alastor spoke.

"I look forward to your stay, Y/N."

His voice sent shivers down my spine making me quickly pick up my pace, reaching the elevators at the same time as Vaggie and Charlie. The door opened immediately and we walked into an uncomfortable silence.
