From then on, if Windy spent time with anyone, it was only Jungkook. They had classes together, but they didn't sit in the same desk. They passed each other in the same way in the cafeteria. Jungkook already had his friends, there was no room for her there. However, he never missed the opportunity to say hello in the corridor or to give a knowing wink when their eyes met. His mischievous smile soothed her.

In addition, she often met him in her free time. Sometimes he sat nearby in the recreation room. After a short conversation, she took out a book, he took out his Nintendo, and they spent the evening together. Then he would walk her to her room, and in that brief moment before she opened the door and he turned around, there was always a silent reassurance of mutual affection. It also happened that he would catch up with her on a walk and then tease and be silly to hear her laugh as long as possible.

Windy felt good. Probably only thanks to him. Sometimes at night she thought about him and couldn't sleep for a long time. However, she didn't have a friend to ask if it was already falling in love.

Jungkook didn't spend as much time analyzing his feelings. Something drew him to her and that was it. A bit different than with other girls, because he didn't use his little "tricks" with her. He had fun and had fun with other people. He just wanted to take care of her.

These pleasant tensions and shared moments ended a month later. Jungkook was approached in the morning by one of the teachers and instructed to come to the principal's office during the second break. When he entered the designated place at the appointed time, he found there Windy, the idiot Martinus, one boy Water and two girls Fire.

"Welcome," the principal began. A strict man with cunning eyes. It wasn't a school for the weak. "I am pleased to say that you were chosen as the best among the students of our school. We are going to assign you to a special mission, so twice a week you will have additional classes with intensive training."

He paused for a moment, checking what effect it had on them. Some were proud, others were alert, some shrank uncomfortably.

"You have been divided into two teams. The better of you can count on prizes and distinctions. If you perform well, you can ensure a good future and respect for yourself. And also help others. Group one is Jungkook, Martinus and Windy."

Those called looked at each other. Jungkook wasn't happy. Martinus was actually fit, but he was a freak. They could never understand each other. Nothing connected them, everything separated them. And Windy...she shouldn't be here. I'm sure they know he doesn't feel comfortable using his powers.

"First training today after classes," concluded the principal.

The whole group met together in the corridor. Jungkook immediately started making grimaces at Martinus, who ignored him and introduced himself to Windy. He wasn't prejudiced against her before. He just didn't like making friends. Dark-Eyed Fire, a little jealous of these interactions and smiles directed at him, started muttering something under his breath when Martinus suddenly asked, "Do you want to be our leader?"

Jungkook was speechless. "I?"

"I'm asking you." Martinus frowned at his interlocutor's intellectual level and began to question his own choice. "You're the mouthiest, so you're the best fit. What do you think about it?" Windy asked.

She looked at Jungkook with confidence and nodded vigorously. So the dark-eyed man agreed. There was a new edge in his eyes. He won't let his group members do anything. Especially one.

The training started with regular physical exercises. They stretched, ran, jumped, did squats and push-ups. Martinus and Jungkook got along without any problems. Windy did well too, which surprised them greatly. She didn't have the body of an athlete, but she must have exercised from time to time since she was in good shape.

But then the power training began. They started by forming a ball. Of course, any of them could do it, but Windy's forehead sweated more than in the previous half hour of practice, and yet elementary school children make elemental balls.

Jungkook started to have a bad feeling. Martinus also noticed the girl's difficulties and gave Jungkook a surprised look. However, they couldn't talk about it yet.

Then they were to throw punches in front of them. Jungkook was racing with Martinus and arguing over every inch. There might have been a fight if not for Windy's condition, which distracted the boys from their boasting.

What came out of her hands was no blow. It wouldn't even blow a preschooler down. And after several attempts she was exhausted. She was struggling to breathe, her shoulders were shaking. She bit her lip in a gesture of ignored pain. Jungkook saw that the skin on her hands began to crack and red blood appeared around the edges.

They both approached her. Jungkook grabbed her arms. How small she was compared to his strong, sculpted body.
