𝔚hen Cale thought that no one noticed his absence, he saw a terrifying butler waiting for him at the entrance of the mansion with a smile.

A smile that seemed everything but nice, it was...terrifying. It makes Cale remember the day when he called Ron Molan a dumb old man when they were playing chess, later he found out Ron was losing on purpose.

"Young master, could this butler know where you were last night that I didn't find you when I went to wake you up?"

Ron asked with a smile, knowing that Cale rarely woke up early, so there were two options; a miracle happened or Cale didn't return last night.

Honestly, he didn't like either of these two, which means no one noticed Cale's absence until this morning when Ron went to his room.

Knowing that the young master you serve is nowhere to be seen when you come back from some 'vacations' isn't something Ron Molan is used to, because it never had happened before.

He always knew where Cale was, and it was annoying to not know where the brat you raised for fifteen years was somewhere you know nothing about, and the first time you see him he is wearing some male clothes that aren't his.

But as a servant, Ron Molan has no right to know.

"I just got up early, Ron."

Cale answered with a frown on his face, he really hoped no one would notice that he didn't come home last night, but he also knew that Ron probably did, he wasn't stupid, his mother told him that Ron was very capable of doing many things in case he ever needed help.

But it wasn't like Cale wanted to tell Ron that he was half-kidnapped last night in a bar and his supposed kidnapper was a very handsome man, oh, and he was wearing the man's clothes (which smelled wonderful, by the way).

Well...probably Ron realized that the clothes were not the same, since he was looking at it as if it was the most terrible thing he saw in his entire life.

"Is that so...then I'll let you know, young master, that your family are waiting for you in the main dining room"

The redhead simply nodded, walking towards the dining room while ignoring his butler.

"You're late"

The count said, looking at his son who he found difficult to bond with, Cale simply nodded and sat in the chair, his family looked at him with uncomfortable faces, but his younger sister had a smile on her face.

"Orabani, you have very nice clothes today!"

Cale noticed that the "r" came out better than before, he smiled at that detail and nodded to his little sister in gratitude, ignoring the fact that it wasn't his clothes.

He started eating as normal, without noticing the look of surprise or nervousness from the rest of his family.

How long has it been since he saw Cale smile like he did with Lily? Probably years, and months since the last time he didn't say anything about the food, which was because Lily was sick, and he didn't want to bother her with his bad behavior.
