Chapter 14 - Fight

Tasha Ozera, could be remarked as pretty, nice and brave. But , most look down on her, and at this point I could see why. The way she smiled when dimtri, walked in was disgusting. The way he smiled at her, was breathtaking.

Did Dimitri like her?

I had never felt such strong emotions before in my life, and I didn't like it. I felt my hear tear apart, when they started to flirt.

It also , became apparent that lissa, and Christian were a item. Christian had a very dark sense of humour, and kinda scared me. His element was fire, which was the best one if you ask me. Lissa, hadn't got hers yet. Some people were wondering , whether she was going to at all. I was hoping she would, as people that don't , normally become crazy , and turn strigoi. I couldn't imagine lissas, jade green eyes a deadly shade of red. Her pale face, being the last thing you see, as you plummet into darkness. That made me shiver inside.

When we reached the ski resort, I was awoken by lissa.

It was absolutely beautiful, everywhere was covered in a thick layer of icy snow. When your walk, in it, your feet , melted right in. The sky was clear, and was a ocean blue colour. It was a bit cold, but nothing to harsh. Leading up to the hotel, were snowmen, with different coloured hats and scarfs on. The whole place felt like I was living in a children's book, unaware of the horrors outside of the gates, that kept us in.

But something kept this children's book dark. Guardians lined the wall, with straight faces, and hard glares. Electric fences were activated , and razor blades were along the wall. The gate was 10 feet high, and loomed over the resort like a giant. Somehow, it felt like a prison, even though they were protecting us. No one else, appeared to think the same.

I was starting to question if we were here, because of something more, then just the fire.

The positive factor, I guess, is that it will be difficult for anyone to reach Lissa. I still need a plan though, to rescue Ridley and Mason.

Inside, was like the outside, beautiful, but I still had this nagging feeling. The wall paper was golden, and an expensive chandelier hanged, down, with jewels coming off of it. A warm fire was blazing wildly, with freshly chopped up wood on top. Pictures hung on the wall of moroi royalty, all looking very classy. It was a very elegant place.

One by one, we were giving our room key, and headed up to our room. I was sharing with lissa. The room we stayed in, had a gold and red theme. We each had a king sized bed and a wardrobe. On the table, stood a flat screen TV. There was also a balcony which gave you a view of the ski slopes. They looked pretty awesome. I started to unpack my stuff , and so did Lissa.

Half way through, I got a text from Eddie, telling me to meet him by the skiing ramp. I excitedly rushed around applying, some more makeup , and styling it in a simple ponytail.

I then asked lissa "Do you want to go skiing"

"No, I fear I'd break my leg, or something" she replied

"Oh" I said

I didn't want to go and leave lissa, on her own. What if something happened to her?

"But you can, dimtri will be coming up in 5 minutes anyway" Lissa told me.

I trusted dimitri, so I guess I could go. Giving lissa a full smile, I walked out the room, heading to the ski ramp. On the way, I found out I had caught, all the males attention. Even the guardians, which I thought was very irresponsible of them. I just sweetly smiled, and carried on walking, avoiding eye contact, with any of them.

When I got outside, the sun had started to go in. The air was cool, and moist. I couldn't see Eddie though, anywhere.

Glancing at my phone, I realised another message had come through

"Follow the footstep"

I now started to have a lump in my throat. Something told me this wasn't Eddie. I started to follow, the only pair of footsteps in the snow, until i was in the middle of a forest. Nothing could be heard, other than the wind.

What was going on?

"Rose dear" a voice whispered

Slowly I turned around, so my eyes landed on the blue hooded man. I still couldn't see his face. I just wanted to rip, his hood off.

"Why do you have eddies phone " I demanded

He ignored my question and said " I have a job, for you"

"What" I snarled

He handed me a necklace, something about it screamed evil at me.

"Give this to dimtri, it will distract him, do we can take lissa"

"How will it distract him " I asked

This caused him to laugh. I wanted to punch his head in, make him feel pain and suffer. A thought then sprung in my mind.

Frantically, I lunged at him, pulling a knife out of my jeans. If I killed him, this would be the end of my nightmare. I could have everyone back. Unfortunately, he blocked it, and twisted my arm.

I screamed in pain, kicking at his face, and attempting to get him off of me. He was too strong though, and kicked me in the stomach. My head started to go dizzy, and the world was spinning around. He released me, and dragged me by my hair, up against a log.

This reminded me , of what happened with Tyler.

I couldn't breathe much, but I forced myself to stand up.

I charged at him, and whacked him in the middle. He growled in pain, and shoved me down, standing on my legs so I couldn't move. The pain was unbearable. He picked up the knife and placed it, so that if I moved, it would plunge in my stomach.

"I must say, you put up, a good fight " he said

Even after the fight, his hood has stayed up, his voice was familiar, but I couldn't remember, who's it was.

"You have just condemned Ridley, Mason, and lissa's death, as well as your own. But don't worry, you will see your beloved cousin again, before you go. You are going to watch ridley, and your friends die, see there life fade away. However, I won't take you yet, I will let you feel afraid for your and lissa's life."

He stepped off of me, and slowly walked away.

I wanted to run after him, but I couldn't move, I hurt to much.

Just as he was out of view he barked

"Always watch your back Rose, I'll be coming"

And with that he vanished into thin air.
