"Yuh deaf? Mi seh get up!" she screams again. I sigh deeply before getting out of bed and walking over to the bathroom. The interior of the bathroom was very bright and clean because my grandma loves to keep places clean. It doesn't matter if she's outside, at my house in New York, visiting her friends, she always keeps her traces clean.
I brush my teeth and wash my face before walking down the creaky stairs. "wi ave nuff tuh duh fi yuh todeh" my grandpa tells me.
They have a shop in the city that needs a lot of help so they expect me to help them with that. I don't answer and just walk to the kitchen to go eat my breakfast. My grandparents always have the most exotic fruits so I just pick out a few and cut them up before putting them in a bowl.
I sit down on a stool at the counter as I eat my bowl of fruits. "we ave fi be there at nine" my grandpa says as he carries some boxes upstairs. Don't get me wrong I absolutely adore Jamaica- as a holiday. Not to stay here against my own will for god knows how long.
When I finish eating my bowl of fruits I go upstairs again and change into a black tube top and a lightly washed denim mini skirt. I pair it with some jewellery and I wear my silk press down as I swoop my edge. Before exiting I quickly make a tiktok and post it.
