I woke up on a hospital bed I had a drip on my right hand I looked at my left side and found Dad sleeping next to me. 'Ooh no!' I thought, I didn't want Dad to see me sick as I lay down  on the bed, the doctor I last tried to reach out for came in with a big smile on his face he looked young to be an actual doctor.

"Ooh you're awake little girl, how are you feeling?" He said as he sat next to me .
"Am okay!" I answered small, then Dad woke up after hearing my voice.
"Cupcake are you okay?" He asked.
"Yes Dad am okay, did I sleep for too long?" Changing the subject.
"Not for too long just two hours" Dad said and then faced the doctor.
"Are you a doctor?" "Aah not yet" he said shyly "but I encountered her at the reception she fainted trying to call me, so I came to see how she's doing"
"That's very kind of you, what's your name?"
"Jonathan, sir!" The young doctor said.
"Please call me Mr. Young" Dad said.
"I'll call the doctor for you" he said standing up and looked at me before leaving. "Its good that you're okay!" And smiled at me.

The doctor came in shortly and said the pain was because I had gas in my stomach and my digestion was not great due to stress my body was facing he prescribed medicine for me and I was discharged.

Dad began going to work and he was getting busy, I'd see him on weekends mostly he had a lot to do because of his absence some works were left undone. I also went back to school I had too at some point Dad had allowed for Jonathan to keep visiting me at home hoping I'll be friends with him because ma'am Lucy suggested that was a good idea to be exposed to other people, but I don't do too well with strangers. Mr. Steve was responsible for driving me to school or anywhere else I'd want to go as I had completed my classes for the day, I noticed he had not yet arrived I stood there waiting.

"Its so unlike him to be late, where could he be?" Suddenly I heard a familiar voice answering me.
"That's because am picking you up today not him!" I turned around happily already identifying the voice that spoke behind me.
"Daddy!" I jumped and hugged him tightly, he then carried me to the car.

We went home together as he drives us home I saw in the back seats some groceries when we reached home I helped him take them out and a few helpers came to assist us, I raced to my room and took a shower then went back down stairs where Dad and ma'am Lucy where joking around and laughing that made me feel happy.

"I barely doubt that you still remember the cooking skills I taught you Hardin cause you always cheat whenever Tessa was around"
"Aah ma'am Lucy that's very offensive, and to prove that am going to cook today"
"Yeey, Dad's cooking for us today!" I said excited and they all laughed.

Its been 10 years since mom died, things were going well at home Jonathan was now an official doctor he's been my personal doctor and friend since I first met him at the hospital Dad insisted that I needed him but I don't really think I do am doing just fine on my own. Dad had remarried after I long insisted he's too young to remain single and I think mom would have wanted the same thing, he married a lady named Vanessa they had a baby girl my very own baby sister I was excited to have a sibling Bethany was her name, well the excitement didn't last long because after she turned 7 we fought a lot and didn't get along much of course I won't fight her she's young but ignoring her is becoming hard and she's now making me feel uneasy. But am glad Dad is now doing well and Miss Vanessa is a very kind and generous woman.

"So what sports are you into?" Jonathan asked me as he had a sip of this strawberry juice then commented "this is nice!"
"Do you want to be my coach?" I mocked him placing my head on the picnic mat every Sunday we've been meeting outdoors and spend time together talking.
"No just curious, you've never told me what kind of sport do you like?" He too laid down with me looking at the sky.
"Well I don't like sports, the girls just got me into cheer leading but I couldn't"
"Yeah I get you, I didn't like sports too back when I was 15 that's why as a sophomore I left for college and helped out in the hospital and that's how I met you my little miracle" he said that in a low tone looking at me I felt his gaze on me but I didn't want to show that I noticed so I remained still looking for a way to get out of this situation.
"Ooh I almost forgot I have a test on Monday and I have to prepare myself, so I have to leave!" Changing the subject as the atmosphere was getting awkward really fast, I stood up to leave but he said.
"Let me drive you home!" ."Okay!" I agreed.
