MAGNOLIA's POV

I had been up all night watching 'Sunshine' or as Daryl would say, 'Little ass-kicker'. Maggie and Beth had helped me set up a self-made crib to put in my cell for the baby, Carl even slept in there with me so he could help take care of her.

Every few hours 'Sunshine' would wake up, begging to be fed, changed or just held. So I did all those things. I treated the child as if she was my own, laying her down on my chest as I softly hummed songs into her ear to calm her cries.

I was in absolute awe of the beautiful baby, as was everyone else.

Rick never made it to the cell-block that night, everyone was worried but Glenn and I reassured them with our stories. He was fine. He was just grieving over his wife.

It was early in the morning and everyone was sat at the table eating their food silently. Carl of course playing with his food, obviously still affected by the sudden loss of his mother.

As I stared at him I heard a small babbling sound coming from my arms, I turned my gaze at the baby to see she had finished her bottle.

'Sunshine' was wearing a new pink onesie that I had found under my bag of stuff. Daryl and Maggie found much more stuff on their run last night, such as multiple bottles, pacifiers, diapers, and clothes.

As the baby continued to whine I took the bottle out of her mouth, laying her on my shoulder to pat her back.

Everyone silently watched the two of us, a small smile on their faces. I turned my head away from them as I took care of the baby in my arms, patting her back a few more minutes before letting her rest in my warm hold once more.

My eyes continued to stare at the face of the sleeping baby, her face mushed against my chest as she slept soundlessly. I let out a deep sigh, a smile engraved on my face everytime I watched the baby in front of me.

In the distance footsteps were heard, I tried my best not to focus much on it but rather focus on 'Sunshine'. But my head quite literally snapped out of placement when I heard the familiar voice of Rick.

"Everybody okay?"

Everyone's head including mine turned towards the voice, Rick slowly walking through the cell door. He wore new clothes, the blood that once coated his face was washed away. I observed the man suspiciously, my arm tightening my hold on his child.
