(Aliena POV)

"Why haven't I seen you before?" I look up and shoot a questioning glance at the blonde standing before me. She looks me up and down standing in front of me, my legs crossed, leaning against a pillar in the lunchroom.

"Yeah, you."

"Oh, um, I transferred here a couple of days ago. I'm a junior." I brush a strand of brown hair out of my face, tucking it behind my ear and into the end of my glasses.

"Regina George, a junior. You are?"

"Aliena Jensen."

"You should sit with us."

"Huh?" I question the girl.

"You. Should. Sit. With. Us." I nod, standing up to follow the girl in question.

"This is Gretchen, Karen, and Cady." She points to them all individually and I send a small wave to the other girls.

They explained the rules and Regina looks me up and down, raising her eyebrows at my black ripped jeans and sweatshirt with black combat boots.

"It's so fetch." I raise an eyebrow as Regina asks Gretchen what fetch is.

"Are you a nerd or something?" Cady looks over at me and I glance at Regina to see her replicating my face.

"What?"

"The glasses. Are you a nerd?" brows furrowing in confusion before I reply.

"Uh, no? I just need them to see? Is that a problem for you?" my English accent cuts through cutting through.

"You're British?" the blonde's eyes widen in surprise.

"Uh, yeah. From the United Kingdom."

"Ooh, where?" Gretchen inquires.

"Manchester. I've had dual citizenship and my father and I just moved back."

"Do you guys have eagles? Have you touched one?"

"Yeah? And no. You really can't do that."

"Because that's my life goal; to not touch an eagle." I nod at the girl, unsure of what to say in response.

"Anyway, if you don't follow our rules, you will end up sitting at the art freaks table." Gretchen looks over at two people and my eyes trail.

"You should so come over after school, meet us out front in the lot. The only jeep there." I nodded at the blonde.

The bell rings and I stand to go to class as Regina slips a paper in my hand, but she walks off before I could ask about it, leading me to actually look down at the paper during class.

"Psst. New girl." I come face-to-face with both of the people Gretchen looked at earlier.

"Can I help you?" I question in confusion as to why they are both talking to me.

"You're sitting with Regina, but you don't give off the right vibes for it. What is your motive?"

"I don't have one. She asked me to sit with them and I did." I glance at both of their faces as I speak.

"Look, Regina is bad news, Cady is in on something with us, we think you could help us too." I take a second to process what she just said to me.

"Look, I am not into that kind of stuff, and I don't even know you, so why are you trying so hard to sabotage something that you aren't even a part of?" I glance at her before turning around again to focus on the paper Regina handed me.
