Akane hears Elijah and Klaus talking, in Klaus' art room.

"She's gone. She and Jackson took Hope, and you will not find them, brother." She hears Elijah say

"You helped Hayley escape? With my daughter?" Klaus says furiously

"Well, someone had to protect that child." to which Elijah calmly replies

"How could you!" Akane makes her presence known to them, Elijah seems shocked at the revelation that Akane has woken up, Akane continues to say, "You think you are the guy who gets to make all the decisions, the Nobel Elijah, you have no idea what you have done, you are walking right into the trap that bitch might have set for Hope!"

Klaus becomes so enraged that he vamp-speeds toward Elijah, shoving him backward until he is bent backward over the railing to the balcony overlooking the city. Elijah grabs Klaus' arm, twists it and him around, and throws him back into his room, where he crashes into one of his tables. Klaus tackles Elijah and throws him backward onto another table as he holds him down by the chest.

"I'm a hybrid, Elijah. Why provoke a fight you cannot win?" Instead of replying to Klaus, Elijah pulls the golden dagger out of his jacket pocket and shoves it into Klaus' heart.

Klaus screams and taking advantage of Klaus' distraction, Elijah pushes them both upright and shoves the rest of the dagger's blade into Klaus' chest. Klaus is so taken off-guard by this move that he has no time to fight back as the dagger begins to desiccate him, "For Hope"

Akane is shocked at seeing Klaus desiccate, as Klaus falls to his knees and becomes weaker, Freya and Rebekah walk into the room and watch him with blank expressions, Akane has a betrayed look on her face, she rushes towards Klaus and holds him and a second later Taeyang vamp speeds them out of the Mikaelson compound. Elijah, Freya, and Rebekah look at each other nervously. As Elijah walks out onto the balcony, looking horrified by what he's just done, the three hear the bell tower of St. Louis Cathedral playing Dahlia's tune to the city.

Klaus has been brought to an empty apartment away from the Mikaelson compound, Akane is sitting thinking about whether to take out the dagger or not, because she personally doesn't want to face the wrath of Klaus Mikaelson.

But she notices the color coming back to his face, he awakes with a gasp and tries to pull the dagger himself but Akane beats him to it and pulls it out herself.

Taeyang came back into the room with coffee and a sandwich in hand for Akane, where he saw Klaus well un-daggered, "So what did I miss?" he asked them, to which Akane shook her head at him, and Klaus rolled his eyes.
