THIRD PERSON

Errol knocked on the door. Inside, he found his master sitting on a chair facing an empty canvas. He's been sitting there for hours but hasn't painted anything. "Your Grace, your visitors are waiting in your office." The archduke turned his head towards his butler and stared at him blankly. 

"Alright." He stood up and picked up his coat before leaving his gallery. Pinanood lang ito ni Errol lumabas ng pinto hanggang sa mawala na ito sa paningin niya. 

The archduke has been so silent lately. He seemed preoccupied with something and usually dozed off on his work. In his training, he was also distracted. Errol just shrugged off the thought and followed him to his office. He waited outside.

Pag dating naman sa opisina ay naabutan ni Dimir ang mga panauhin niyang nag tsa-tsaa. Bahagyang kumunot ang noo nito nang makitang puro mga bata ang naroon. They were sitting comfortably on his couch like a young gentlemen as if they owned the place. 

"What the hell is wrong with you? Bakit ang init lagi ng ulo mo sa akin?" Pikon na bulyaw ni Levine habang nakatingin ng masama kay Carnel na prenteng nakaupo. 

"Climate change." Pabalang nitong sagot na lalong ikinamuryot lang ni Levine. 

This ass! Is he still holding something against me after that incident with my father? Levine thought to himself. He remembered a fight with him with concerns for the safety of the saintess. Hindi siya makapaniwalang hanggang ngayon ay may sama pa rin ito ng loob sa kanya.

"You mean you can transform into an eagle?" Manghang atugal ni Zeev habang kausap si Dominique. His eyes almost sparking in delight.

"Mabuti hindi ka nagagawi sa gubat! I used to hunt one when I was little! Roasted eagles are the best! I will bring you one next time!" Dominique's eye almost turned into a flatline while listening to Zeev. Hindi niya alam kung seryoso ba ito o inaasar lang siya. 

"Hey, Caelus! How about you turn us back to normal? I sounded like an annoying kid!" Pasigaw na wika ni Dominique dito. He hates kids, and now he sounded like one. 

"Nope." He answered, popping the 'p.' 

"Turning us to kids will make us less suspicious," Caelus paused before biting a cookie. "Besides, the royal family observes every noble family in the empire. We can't be seen in Alcanta." Dominique frustratedly lifts his tiny hand. He had become a seven-year-old kid. Every one of them is.

Caelus used his ability to alter their age to escape from the eyes of the royalties. Kaya naman sa mata ni Dimir ay para itong mga ligaw na yagit. "I could get used to this! Even when I was a child, I was strong. How about we spar, Carnel?" At may gana pa talaga makipag sparring si Zeev sa kabila ng dahilan kung bakit sila nagtipon-tipon dito. 

"Are you challenging me?" Nakataas kilay na sagot ni Carnel sa naging paanyaya nito. 

"Let me join. I'll beat the shit out of him." Aniya naman ni Levine habang nandidilim matang nakatingin kay Carnel. 

"I'll be the referee." Napatingin silang lahat kay Dominique. They gave him a questionable look. 

"Makakakita ka ba e may blindfold ka sa mata?" Patutsada ni Caelus na siyang ikina-poker face lang ni Dominique. 

Akmang magbabardagulan na ang mga ito nang marinig ang malakas na pagbalibag ng pinto. Bumaling ang atensyon ng mga ito kay Dimir na taimtim na nakatingin sa kanila. Napaayos naman ang mga ito ng upo sabay iwas ng tingin. They cleared their throat and sat properly on the couch before greeting the archduke. 

"You look like a dad with five kids." Dahil sa sinabi ni Caelus ay muntik na bumunghalit ng tawa ang mga ito. Yeah, they behaved as soon as they saw him. Looking at him with his towering height and intimidating presence, any child would pee on their pants and cry.
