"Ne, Chuuya-kun, do you really want to go to this museum exhibition?" Ozaki Kouyou asked, strolling down the wet sidewalk of nighttime Yokohama. The lights from the tall buildings and cars illuminated reflections in the scattered puddles, the rain had blissfully stopped a few minutes earlier.
Nakahara Chuuya, the man in question, just shoved his hands in his pockets and said; "Of course I do, Ane-san! This is the only exhibition Yamamoto Yushiro-san is going to hold in Yokohama, I can't just miss it." The redhead glanced behind him to see Kouyou folding her pastel umbrella shut.
Yamamoto Yushiro was a very famous painter with mint greenish blue and black hair, known to shoot journalists and paparazzi with a sniper rifle. He held very few exhibitions to view his paintings, all of a beautiful woman named Tamayo, though Tamayo was never painted with a face...
"Yes, yes, it's just I'm not as in love with the arts as you are..." She smiled, "But we don't spend enough time together, do we?"
"True." Chuuya and Kouyou met in middle school and had been friends ever since. Now that they were both 26, time to spend with the other had become sparse, Kouyou was a nurse and Chuuya was a bartender, both with schedules relatively packed.
"Hmm, I hope it doesn't start raining again. Even a drizzle would be undesired," The taller woman mused. "How much longer must we walk to get to the museum?"
"Not-" Chuuya was going to answer but was interrupted by two girls, the taller one with pink glasses and the smaller with black hair, screaming and running past the two individuals, bumping into Chuuya and almost pushing him into the street.
The girls, rushing at a pace that dared a cracked skull to happen, rounded the corner to leave Chuuya dumbfounded. "What's up with them?" He wondered out loud, anger rising, weaving into his tone.
Kouyou put a kimono silk covered hand up to her mouth, hiding her lipstick lined grin. "Oh, I have a vague idea..."
He looked at his Ane-san, straighting his jacket, "What?"
The went around the corner only to find cars stuck like Tetris in the road and people swarming a building like a vulture on a corpse.
Everyone was gathering around a movie theater, blazing with lights and alive with the chatter and shouts of a hundred excited souls.
"That." Kouyou pointed at the obvious. "You know that film 'Tryst in the Mist'?"
"Yeah, it just came out right?" Chuuya raised a finely plucked eyebrow.
"The lead actor, Dazai Osamu-san- no doubt you've seen him on a magazine cover before- is viewing the premiere here, today. My friend Yosano-sensei told me about it, I didn't realize the museum we were going to was less than a block away," She chuckled.
"Dazai Osamu?" Chuuya rolled his eyes, storming down the sidewalk, determined to ignore the reporters and maniacs across the street. "Never heard of him."
"Oh, everyone has. He has brown hair and all those bandages on him, although it's not for character."
"Bandages- ugh, wait, I remember him. He was that dickhead who was spouting something about how much he hated life and then filmed himself jumping off a bridge." Chuuya recalled the story with clear disgust. "He has all that money and fame and then preaches that life is pointless? He doesn't donate to charity, and he's not even a kind person. Yet because he can act so well everyone loves him more than anything. I hate those kind of people." Chuuya scowled, though how much did he actually know about Dazai?
