Third-person POV:

Severus never really liked getting to know new people; he dreaded sharing the same air as them, let alone meeting, seeing, or conversing with anyone. He's never liked being around people. He doesn't know why people like to pick on him so much; he's never caused them any harm. So far, all he has done is exist; he is in Slytherin and likes dark magic. Is that so wrong? Apparently, to this batch of wizards, it was. One wizard in particular, James, had a strong dislike for the raven-haired Slytherin.

James, a Gryffindor who is Severus's age, has always enjoyed mocking and bullying him. He doesn't understand why James does this, but after a while, he has gotten used to letting the Gryffindor step all over him. One day, James taunts an unarmed Snape, hexes him, then hangs him upside down. Flashing his underwear to gawking crowds; finally, the brunette threatens to strip him. Then suddenly, someone steps up. A fellow Slytherin by the name of Jack. He intervenes to break up the conflict and aids Severus in escaping James.

With an obvious look of wrath on his face, Jack stops James and assists Severus in getting down. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" he asks, disarming James as he mouths the word 'run' to the raven-haired Slytherin while James rolls his eyes at him. The Gryffindor boy shrugs and retrieves his wand from the floor. "What? We were just having fun," he and his friends snickered.

"You're a real fun one at parties, Jack," a voice is heard from the crowd. "Let's go, guys." The Gryffindor and his fellow companions turn to leave, and the crowd scatters. This causes Jack to take a deep breath. He turns back and notices that the slytherin with the raven hair has left the area. He smiles and exhales in relief. The tension between them had been thick all afternoon, and he was glad for the chance to relax now.

He starts looking for the raven-haired Slytherin. After a while of wandering through the fields, he finds Severus in a nearby tree. The blonde-haired Slytherin climbs up the tree to meet the other. "Greetings, Severus," he says, and the other replies warily. "Greetings, Jackson." After that, he looks back down at his book.
