Nightfall seems to be the most important time of the 24 hours given.
That's when things seem to be the most noticeable. That when all the most notable things happen. That's when everyone seems to up and about the most.
It's when Genesis feels the most awake, ironically.
Or maybe it's because the quiet gives her enough time and space to be able to think. Openly and freely without any distractions or prying minds.
Though one could still pry, she still feels most calm at times like this.
When night has fallen, the sky is dark and she's able to be alone for just a little bit.
Well, maybe more than a bit given the woman's current emotional state. She wants to be one for quite some time longer.
Though when has she ever gotten what she's wanted with no hiccups?
Genesis feels the energy of another and intuitively knows exactly who it is.
She tuts. "What do you want?" She turns her head to look at Avery as she approaches her on the balcony.
"Just to talk." Avery says softly.
"If you're gonna tell me you're in love with Jungkook, don't."
"That's so gross." Avery frowns. "For like... a multitude of different reasons."
Genesis rolls her eyes. "I know what I saw."
"You could've killed me, you know?"
"But I didn't." There's venom in her tone.
"That doesn't matter." Avery says. "Did it matter when Taehyung was suffocating you? Did it not matter that you were only knocked unconscious? Or did it hurt just the same?"
The clouds above them become dense with rainwater, ready to spill.
"That's not fair for you to speak on." Genesis's voice is clipped. "You mind your business." She faces her.
"That is my business." Avery matches her tone as her arms drop to her sides.
Genesis's voice raises. "What goes on in my relationship has nothing to do with you. You need to stay out of it."
The dull sound of thunder rolls across the sky.
"It has everything to do with me! have lived two lifetimes just to get here and you try to kill me with your own hand!" Avery screams. "Over a situation that you knew nothing about!! Jungkook was fighting Taehyung to protect you and you want to talk about fair??"
"Taehyung and Jungkook fighting is between them!" Genesis shouts back.
Lightening stretches across the sky.
"It affects the whole coven!"
"Then you let me handle that! They are my mates. This is my coven!"
Rain begins to fall, pelting the buildings with heavy drops. It drenches the people in the city below it in an instant.
