Craig POV

The world was silent. I then looked down at my prize. With a grin on my face, I turned the new blade over in my hands, studying it.

Craig: "This is definitely high quality."

I mused, running a gloved finger along the sharp edge.

Craig: "Hell yes."

I have been needing a new sword. My old one could still fetch a pretty penny, too.
But that stupid empty camp really was the jackpot—

Then, all of a sudden, something rustled in the woods around. I looked around cautiously.

I then see in a distance barbarian tweek sleeping on the tree with the sword on his hand. 6 years ago, I met him when I was stealing some gold in his kings castle. He didn't care and decided to stop being the guard of the castle and followed me, and now here we are.

Craig: "Tweek?"

I said as I watched the young man sleeping in the tree. I was pretty sure I recognized that hair. Well, this could be fun. I like fun.

I then crept closer. Slowly. I wasn't exactly stealthy with those boots, but I was going as quiet as I could with him.

I was pretty close now, and I could see that Tweek had more than just the sword on him.

More loot.

My eyes widened as I noticed the pouch tied around Tweek's waist. That necklace of his would fetch a good bit of gold, too.

It was like he was begging to get robbed.

My hands grasped for the pouch and the necklace around Tweek's neck. I then paused for a moment, considering just how much I want to push the boundaries of his morals.

Then I gave myself a shake.

Craig: "No."

I told himself.

Craig: "It's one thing for a thief to steal from strangers and rich people, but stealing from a friend?

No, I couldn't do it."

I said to myself, and then I took my hands away. And then I thought better of it and grabbed it anyway. Once I grabbed it, the emerald necklace was glowing pretty it was a real emerald. I then studied the green gem for a moment, intrigued.

This was a beautiful find. Hell yeah! I thought, and then I was about to stash it away. Until he remembered who it belonged to.

No. I couldn't do it.

I gently untied the necklace, placing it near Tweek's head. This was a nice young man he didn't deserve to be stolen from like this.

I then thought about taking the pouch, and I really did. It was right there, sitting so innocently around the young man's waist..

But I couldn't. Tweek was my friend, not some random guy I just met at a tavern. I didn't want to betray the one person who'd been able to pierce through his walls and get him to lower his guard.

I sighed and backed away, trying to ignore the temptation.

I felt like I was going to burst. I wanted that necklace so badly. But I couldn't take it.

I was torn.

On one hand, it was just a necklace. It was just a pretty piece of green gemstone that didn't really matter. But on the other, it was a friend's necklace. It mattered a lot to Tweek, and I knew I wouldn't take it kindly if it disappeared.

I sighed again and backed away from the sleeping young man.

I was getting pretty far away when I then noticed that the necklace was glowing brightly now. The stone was shining as if it were calling for me to take it.
