Chapter 10

When Hope and Alec woke up it was past lunch time

"It's past lunch damn it, we missed lunch." Alec said

Hope got up and grabbed a human blood bag they had stolen because the school only gives out animal blood.

"Want one?" Hope asked

"Sure."

When they finished their blood bags they went downstairs into the library and saw Alaric.

"Hello, students! I would like all of you to come to the main hall now, I have an important announcement to make" Alaric said before leaving the room.

When everyone was gathered in the great hall, waiting for the headmaster to show up and start his speech. Penelope was sitting on Hope's left and Alec was on her right, Penelope was trying to comfort Alec and Hope. Until Alaric finally started.

"Hello, students! You may be wondering why you're all gathered here. Well, today is a day to celebrate. Believe it or not but it's been one year since our world has been at peace."

Penelope looked at Hope and Alec and saw that their eyes were glowing red, from anger.

"It's been one year since Niklaus Mikaelson, the original Hybrid died, along with his brother, the original vampire Elijah Mikaelson. Unfortunately, not all of the Originals died but, that's why we're going to have a party here in the great hall, starting at 7p.m tonight" the headmaster added.

Before anyone could say anything, Hope stood up.

"We have always helped you, always, and you're doing this? Are you fucking kidding me!" Hope was then interrupted by Alec

"Hope, please sit down, I will handle this" he said, knowing he had more control than his sister. But Hope was furious.

"NO I'm not just going to sit down after he said that about our family."

"Hope, sit down please. Let me sort this out for us. I promise I won't let him get away with it" Alec said quietly so only she could hear. Hope nodded but kept standing up.

"Alaric, do you seriously want us to be ashamed of who we are, of our family, and our father? And now, on his death day, you're throwing a party? Seriously, and the funniest thing is that you knew we'd be here listening to this. Hope literally nearly killed everyone in the library yesterday because of what Liam said about our father. You don't even care about us, and you know what?" Alec vamp speeds up to Alaric and grabs him by the throat. "You're wrong, Hope and I are like our father. We would kill anyone who harms our family or says shit about them, but we give people mercy like our mother. If I were my father you would have died a long time ago.

"Well, I have to say I completely agree. You would be dead by now if he were anything like me." a voice with an English accent said while entering the room, laughing at what he said and being followed by 4 other people.

The kids' faces were all shocked. Alaric looked like he'd seen a ghost. Well technically he has. Alec let go of Alaric upon hearing a familiar voice.

 "What the hell are you all doing here? Alaric screamed which made Hope and Alec turn around, in shock.

"I just thought I'd pay this school a visit, you know."

"Dad, who is that?" Josie asked with fear in her voice.

"You really don't know who I am? And I thought this school would teach you everything about the supernatural. I'm Klaus, Klaus Mikaelson."

That's when Hope and Alec finally realised who it really was, with tears running down their faces, they vamped speed to the parents and hugged them.
