Chapter 12

After a lesson of advanced magic, Hope and Alec made their way to the gym. After they changed,they entered the gym and bumped into someone.

"Oh I'm sorry" Hope mumbled.

"No it's fine," a voice, which definitely belonged to a boy responded

"Liam, what are you up to?" Alec said when he realised it was him.

"Not much, just training. Care to train together."

"I'll pass" Hope said at the same time as Alec replied, "Yeah sure"

Alec looked at his sister.

"Fine" Hope said sighing

"You do realise I can defeat you in a second, right" Hope said

"Hope, don't be such a show off," Alec replied

"Well then, show me how it's done," Liam smirked

"There's nothing to show, Alec and I are descendents of the Hollow, Mikaelson, the son and daughter of the Original hybrid, and a Crescent Alpha, which is our mother," Hope explained.

"Oh, and my sister and I are vampires, and we could easily beat you in seconds" Alec finished Hope's sentence.

"Impressive, really. But I still think we should train together."

"Fine," Hope said.

Hope took off her jumper and put her hair in a bun.

"Hope please try not to kill him, '' Alec joked.

"No promises." Hope smirked

She positioned herself in front of Liam and didn't wait long before she attacked. The boy blocked, though in that very second Hope flipped him on the floor, and held him down with her legs.

"See I told you, you had no chance" Hope smirked

"Maybe I don't, so let's just talk"

Hope jumped off Liam

"What?! No, definitely not."

"Why?"

"Because I don't want to, but you can talk to Alec."

"Wait, I didn't sign up for this." Alec complained

"Well, I want to talk to both of you," Liam said

"You do realise I tried to kill you the other day so don't push my buttons" Hope said before walking away, with Alec following her.

"Wait"

"What?" Hope and Alec asked

"I'm sorry for what I said about your family, I shouldn't have, and I of all people should know what it's like to lose your parents. But you got yours back, I didn't." Liam said.

"Are you really sorry? Or do you just want us to like you so our father won't kill you." Hope said angrily

"What I..." Before Liam could finish, Hope interrupted him.

"You know what? Save it, We both know it's the reason you're doing this, so please, back off. Otherwise I'm going to have to do this another way. I always get what I want." Hope said, before she left, with Alec following her.

After a shower, the twins sat in their room, with Hope opening her grimoire and continuing to search for the connection spell, while Alec was on his computer.

Not long after they started doing their separate things they were interrupted.

"Hope, Alec, are you here?" Josie asked

"Yeah, why? Are you and your sister here to tell us how awful our father is or what?" Alec asked

"No, please open the door, I have to talk to both of you."

After thinking about it for a few moments, Alec shut the computer screen. With the flick of his hand Alec opened the door, and outside stood a miserable looking Josie.

"Come in" Hope said

"Thank you" Josie mumbled

"So, what is it you wanted to talk to us about?" Alec questioned.

"I'm sorry"

"What?" Hope asked, looking confused.

"I'm sorry for everything my family has done to yours, to both of you. I don't know if Lizzie's sorry too, though I think so. She's just too concerned about social status to tell you. About Dad I don't know. But I'm sorry, I really am. I did some terrible things to you and said a lot of mean stuff."

During her last sentence, Hope and Alec could see tears appearing in the siphoner's eyes

"Hey, hey, don't cry, okay?" Hope whispered

"Sorry"

"You don't have to apologise. It's fine. Why don't you come sit on my bed?" Hope replied

Josie nodded and slowly made her way to Hope's bed with Hope and Alec following her.

"I don't think I'm supposed to tell you guys, but Dad wants to kill your father and the rest of your family. And Lizzie and I, to convince you to help him. Though we both told him we wouldn't. Even Lizzie thinks it's wrong. Josie said quietly.

"He what?" Alec growled angrily, jumping out of bed and causing Josie to jump up, scared.

"I'm sorry and thank you for telling us" Alec apologised for scaring her.

"I really think Caroline should come back here. Oh, and I hope you understand that we have to tell our family what Alaric's planning." Hope said to Josie.

Josie just nodded and made her way to the door.

"Josie, thanks for telling us," Alec said.

"No worries" then she left.

"That's it, no more. Dad will probably kill Alaric now." Hope said to Alec

Alec called their father.

"Alec, Hope, what is it?" They heard the concerned voices of their father and mother.

"We just found out Alaric wants to kill you. All of you, and he wants us to help him" Hope said

"Who told you?" Hayley asked

"His daughter josie." Alec replied

"Why would she do that? Are you sure she wasn't lying?" Klaus asked.

"I believe her. And I strongly think Caroline should come back as soon as possible." Hope said

"Alec, Hope don't worry. All of the white oak stake is gone, and Aunt Freya made a spell on herself Keelin, and Davina, so they can't ever die. And nothing can kill Marcel because he is an upgraded vampire, and Freya even did a spell so Marcel's venom can't kill us anymore. So don't worry, he can't kill us." Klaus answered.

"Wait really? Thank God that's good news. We have to go anyway, dinners ready?" Hope said

"Love you, Mum, Dad" Hope and Alec said then hung up the phone.

After ending the call, Hope and Alec got dressed and went downstairs to the cafeteria. They immediately saw Penelope sitting at a table and saving a spot for themHope and Alec a free spot. She was sitting with Stefan, another girl named Ella who Hope and Alec were friends with but not best friends like Penelope and sadly, Liam. Hope sighed quietly before sitting next to Penelope with Alec sitting on Hope's other side.

"Where have you guys been?" Pen asked as Hope and Alec sat down.

"I'll tell you later" Hope responded, whispering, before continuing in a normal voice.

"So, what have we missed?" Hope asked
