Legacies: The Mikaelson twins

Chapter 13

After they finished eating their lunch a boy stormed into the cafeteria and announced.

"The boy, the human boy, he lives." 

"How? Father killed him, he should be dead", Alec said looking at Hope

"I don't know," Hope answered.

"Let's find out," Stefan said.

Hope, Stefan, Penelope, Ella, Lizzie, Josie and Liam rushed to the principal's office where Alaric was talking to Rafael and Landon

"How?" Hope and Alec both asked

"Short version: he's a phoenix. Lucky for him since your bloodthirsty, evil father can't kill him". Alaric responded.

Hope and Alec clenched their jaws.

"What's a phoenix?" Liam asked

"He can't die. I mean, he can, but he'll come back to life again", Ella responded.

"And that's a big advantage in a world with Klaus Mikaelson," Alaric added.

"Seriously, I don't understand how I could ever see you as family, you're awful", Hope yelled, before storming out of the room.

Liam quickly got to his feet and followed her. The girl went deeper and deeper into the woods, and the boy was wondering where she was going, until she reached the lake. The girl sat on a small bench and didn't even look up, when Liam joined her.

"What are you doing here?" she just asked.

"Keeping you company", he responded, smiling.

"Why?"

"Because you don't deserve it. You and Alec don't deserve what Mr. Saltzman says about your family. I mean, they're your family."

Hope nodded, and suddenly tears started to fall down her face.

"Hey, don't cry." Liam said in a calming voice, wiping away her tears with his thumb, trying to calm the tribrid down.

But she couldn't stop. She had to let it all out, she couldn't keep it in anymore. Even though most of the pain didn't really exist anymore, she never let it out and she had to do it now.

Liam slowly came closer to her, before wrapping his arms softly around her small body, careful not to hurt her. And then something happened that he would have never expected, the girl hugged him back, holding onto him like he was the only thing that kept her from falling apart. Hope's sobs became quieter, Liam's shirt was completely soaked with her tears but he couldn't care less.

"Shhh", he whispered in her ear.

Finally, the girl stopped crying. With her eyes red from crying, she looked at him.

"Thank you, and I'm sorry."

"What the hell are you sorry for?"

"For ruining your shirt and annoying you with my problematic life."

"First of all, I couldn't care less about this shirt, especially at this moment. Second, you're not annoying me. I'm actually happy you opened up to me, you know?"

Hope smiled weakly, before he pulled her in for another hug. In his arms, Hope felt safe. She didn't know what happened, but she wasn't mad at the young werewolf anymore. She was actually happy he was there, his presence was keeping her together.

He smelled so good, like a forest in autumn. His strong arms holding her made her want to let go, and his calming voice was perfect. Hope didn't know what was wrong with her.

She couldn't have fallen for him, could she? She was Hope Mikaelson, she didn't do relationships. She had dated two guys, and both of them lied. But Liam felt different. Although, hadn't she thought she could trust Roman too? And look where that had gotten her.

Overwhelmed with her feelings, Hope didn't realize how tired she actually was. She fell asleep in the werewolf boy's arms, her arms around his, as if her life depended on it.

As the boy realised she was asleep, he began studying her face, looking at every small detail. She was beautiful, inside and out.

'Fuck I'm in love with her', he realised.

After watching the girl sleep for a while, he decided to bring her to her and Alec's room hoping he wouldn't attack him the minute he sees his sister in his arms due to the fact that it was like 10 o'clock at night. It took him a while to find her room, but finally, he did, and luckily everyone was asleep, and no one saw them. The view would have been, well, interesting, to say the least, Hope Mikaelson in the arms of a boy, especially Liam Dunbur sleeping, while holding on tight to him.

He knocked on the door, holding Hope in one arm, when the door opened a worried Alec appeared. 

"What have you done to my sister? '' he growled when he realised he was carrying his sister.

"Oh, she's fine. When I found her after she ran out of the office we talked for a while then she fell asleep." Liam explained.

"Okay, I will take her now," Alec said, taking his sister out of the boy's arms, shutting the door and carrying her to her bed. He tucked her under her blankets then got into his own bed. 

When Hope woke up the next day she was shocked and worried.

(Gasps)

"Hey, hey it's ok sis." Alec said

When Hope saw Alec she calmed down

"What happened?"

"Well at like 12 o'clock Liam knocked on our door carrying you when you were asleep, I was about to attack him but he explained what happened so I took you and carried you to your bed. Alec said

"Omg that is so embarrassing I remember crying then he hugged me and I let him and I must have fallen asleep, no word about this to anyone ok" Hope said

"Ok,Ok" Alec replied.
