Long ago, in distant lands of Asia lies Burma, where people sought immortality and mystical powers to wait for the coming Buddha(Ariya Metteyya). In search of those powers, some of them came upon a concept of metamorphosis and practices in which a human could evolve into a powerful immortal called 'Weiza'.

In order to become an immortal 'Weiza', a person can either become a semi-immortal 'Alchemist' or follow the path of 'Saint-hood'. The 'Saints' pursue in the arts of spiritual enhancement with spells and meditation while the 'Alchemists' ritualize with laws of nature. Both the Alchemists and Saints are said to be able to fly, traverse the depths of oceans and the earth, visit the celestial bodies like the sun, moon and planets and master the arts of divination and necromancy. The Alchemists are known to hold a magical staff that allows them to perform such powers along with healing and resurrection abilities while the Saints purely worked with magic that came from within. With such supernatural capabilities, the 'Alchemists' and 'Saints' slowly gained a name among the ancient Burmese people and are known as 'Zawgyis' & 'Weiza-dos'.

The path alone to become 'Zawgyi' and 'Weiza-do', required strenuous soulful learnings, mystical practices and intensive experiments in the arts of alchemy with elements such as water, fire, earth, mercury, iron and medicinal science. This transformation was believed to be achievable only by males and it involved long and arduous trainings over many years. Only after succeeding the 'Alchemist' state or 'Saint-hood', will the person be able to further excel into a true 'Weiza' form with true immortality and spiritual enlightenment to look for the sole purpose in life ; Nirvana {eternal resting place in Buddhism}.

Many had tried but most failed in their endeavours since the journey was obviously lengthy and perilous. Due to the dangers involved in pursuing this path, the practitioners kept themselves a secret and remained hidden from the outside world.

Years after years, the existence of such beings in Burma had faded into legends and folklores. No one even recognises or acknowledge the presence of 'Zawgyis' and 'Weiza-dos' anymore and they became nothing but imaginative figures for the people.
