The next morning, I felt some weight on me. I open my eyes and saw Hope half laying on me. I caressed her hair gently.

After some time she opened her eyes and look at me. "Good morning kitten"

She mumbled something and snuggled into my chest. "Hope, wake up baby. We have to pack as well." Yesterday when we returned Dad gifted Hope a fully paid 5 days trip to Barbados. Our flight leaves at 6 in the evening.

"You pack for me as well. I want to sleep." She said snuggling in the duvet.

Hope and I left for the airport at 4:00. Throughout the way, Hope was acting very nervous.

"Hope, are you alright?" I asked her seeing her fidgeting with her fingers. She gave me a weak smile and nodded which was not reassuring but I let it go.

After we boarded, I saw that Hope's hands were trembling, so I held her hands and talked to her so I could distract her. But when the takeoff began, she started panicking more. I whispered sweet nothings to calm her down. But that was not helping her. I was concerned about her behavior.

As soon as the seat belt sign went off, I unbuckled and pulled her onto my lap. She clung onto me tightly. And slowly began to calm down. After some time, she slept. The flight was almost three hours long. And she slept for most of it.

The air Hostess asked me to wake her up and put her in her own seat, which I was reluctant to do. But I still complied. I woke up hope slowly. "Hey kitten, wake up. We are about to land."

She opened her eyes and looked at me. "We are about to land." She nodded and got on her seat. I helped her in fastening her seatbelt. She held my hand in a tight grip and closed her eyes.

Throughout the way to the resort, Hope was looking a bit gloomy and didn't talk much. After we check-in to our suite, Hope said, "Let's go have a walk at the beach first." I nodded and went with her.

We removed our shoes and walked next to each other. She was still a bit nervous but as we walked further she relaxed. After sometime she said, "Let's sit here for sometime." I nodded. She kept her head on my shoulder and intertwined our hands. I kissed her forehead.

"Haven" I looked at her. She sat straight and said, "The reason I was behaving like that in the flight is because..." She started fidgeting with her fingers and looked at her lap. "Hope, it's okay if you don't want to talk right now." I said holding her hands in mine.

She shook her head and said, "No, I want to."

"Sawyer and I had an elder sister as well, Kennedy. She was my best friend. She was there for me when I came out and helped me tell it to my parents as well. She was always there for me. Dad loved her the most. She was his golden child, best in academics, sports, joined Harvard business school and she was supposed to take over after dad. Five years ago, when she was returning from Harvard, her plane crashed and she... I miss her so much." She broke into sobs. I hugged her and let her cry her heart out.

After sometime she looked at me and said, "After that, this was the first time I got on a plane. I didnt know I would react like this. I was afraid if anything happened. I donot want to lose you as well Haven."

"You will never lose me love. I will always be there for you. I am sorry I didn't know or else I wouldn't have asked you to get on a flight."

She wiped my cheeks, that's when I realised that I was also crying.  I took her hand and kissed her fingers and palm.

She pulled herself from my embrace and stood up. "Stand up, I'll race you to our room." she said. As I stood at my feet she ran past me and said, "You will lose."

I chuckled at her antics and picked our shoes. I saw she was standing at some distance. I sprinted towards her. She squeaked and ran.

The next 5 days went visiting different places in Barbados and enjoying each other's company.
