"Mylo," his mother called out to him from the boys' chambers.
"Yes, mother?" he responded.
"Your father..." She paused, her voice breaking, distress evident on her face.
"What about father? Is he hurt?" Mylo's concern showed in his voice.
"He's... he's gone, son," she said sadly.
Mylo felt his whole world shatter. He and his father had been incredibly close, and Mylo had always wanted to be just like him.
But eventually, battle caught up to the man.
"You know what this means right?" She questioned.
"I do," he replied through tears.
"You're king now.".
