I can't believe it's my fourth year at Hogwarts already. The familiar, comforting, musty, cold air smelling of books and stone washes over me as I step into The Great Hall.
Oh, I missed this feeling.
Walking to the Hufflepuff table, I see friends that I've missed dearly. Harper, my dearest friend, spots me nearly immediately and her face brightens instantly. She jumps up, nearly knocking into another Hufflepuff.
'Oh, Harps, I've missed you,' I squeal as she grips me in the tightest hug ever. 'How was your summer?'
'I have so much to tell you about it,' she giggles into my neck. 'After the ceremony, hurry up and steal the bunk below mine.'
My heart sighed. I missed this feeling- the Hogwarts feeling.
Harper drags me to where she was sitting, amidst a clump of fellow Hufflepuffs I know from years before.
'Hi, Hazel, Khlo, Cassius, Susie, Noah, Amelia, Asher, oh my gosh, Ella, you must've grown 4 inches!' Ella beams at me, tucking a curly red strand behind her ear.
I love my friends.
'Barlowe, it's been a minute,' I hear a warm, deep voice.
'Cedric!' I don't even look at him as I pull him into a bear hug. 'Oh, Cedric. I missed you. Merlin, did you grow too?'
