"W-why must we leave her like this? D-does'nt s-she deserves to leave?" asked Devina, a woman dressed in bluish-green attire matching the eye color of the little one she placed in a basket..
"NO! SHE IS NOTHING BUT A BURDEN!! DROWN HER RIGHT HERE OR I WILL DO IT BETTER!" Viveka, whose name is quite opposite to his nature and personality, yelled at his wife, with pure disgust. Why? Because she birthed a girl..
The woman, half heartedly left the basket and her daughter to die in the river of Yamuna.. it was almost midnight and moon was no where to be seen, cool Breeze were passing by them and clouds had taken over whole sky.
"You are coming with me or deciding to join your daughter?" He hissed when he noticed that Devina didn't budge even a little from her place
"I-I am coming, why must y-you do this?"
She followed him, her head hung low as silent tears rolled down her cheeks. He turned around and started walking, far away from their daughter and only thing she could pray was "Oh Narayan, I'm bound with no option left other than this, save her Narayan, take care of her..."
Well the man was a Wealthy merchant with access to the whole of Aryavart, but had no heart to raise a daughter, a daughter who was no less than Lakshmi..

2 days later:-
(Morning)Pritha and Pandu were collecting herbs which were near the banks of the river, when suddenly Pandu yelled "Pritha! Pritha! Look here!"
Pritha came running and saw him pointing his hand towards a basket that was floating on the calm river, and soon the basket came floating towards them "What must be in it? Look it's fully covered Arya" she asked
Pandu bent down and got the hold of basket, which was heavy than usual basket, Pritha came near him and said "Covered in a red cloth and floating in river, who must have dropped it?"
Pandu slightly uncovered the cloth and found a small child sleeping soundly, like having the best sleep of her life (aag lagi basti me, Mai apni masti me 🤌🏻)
"It's a child!" Exclaimed Pandu
"Who must have left a child so young in the floating river?" He said with frownPritha felt a pang in her heart, all the memories that day came floating in her mind.. and who was she to comment how can someone leave a child in river?
"Arya, they might have had some reason, why must we blame them?"
"Pritha, whatever the reason may be, is it ok to let the child die?"
"How are you so sure she left the child to die? There maybe some other reason.."
"What's gotten in your today dear? Anyway, look this child is so young, we must take her with us, she has no one with her right now, we must take this little one with one"
