Crumpled heart

Rudy was holding hands with Emilie as they walked towards the river, where Liesel and Rudy always raced each other to. That's when Liesel saw them, laughing away. She felt a strong emotion of sadness and jealously wash over. It was as though someone crumpled up her heart and threw it in the bin. God Rudy, why Emilie?! Of all people why? Ever since Liesel arrived at Himmel street, Emilie had been a bitch to her and Rudy knew this. "LIESEL! COME OVER HERE , I NEED YOU TO LEAVE THE WASHING BASKET OVER TO HERR FRAU'S NOW!" Liesel turned around from the window and sighed. "Coming mama!"
RUDY POV:
Ja that's right, I have a girlfriend now. I realised Liesel didn't love me the way I loved her. God, every time she rejected me I would die inside. She thought I was teasing every time I asked but I really wasn't. Whenever I had saved her stupid book from the river I was certain she would kiss me. Unfortunately, I was wrong and so then I realised she would never love this 'filthy saurkel.'
LIESEL POV:
I rushed out of the house hoping I would not run into Rudy. Eugh I wished I kissed him when I got the chance, struggling to hold back the tears I started to feel lightheaded and all of a sudden I lost my footing and crashed to the ground. Luckily the clothes remained clean in the basket. I groaned and pushed my self up. "Saumensch! Are you okay?"
My eyes shot up at his perfect blue German eyes. When did he get so handsome? " I'm fine." I said firmly. "So I see you are going out with Emilie now," I sighed in a calm voice. "Um yeah, since last night," he responded, the atmosphere becoming awkward. "Why? Why her you saurkel? You know she doesn't like me."
"Look Liesel, she's actually very sweet when you get to know her. You should put behind your past and atleast to pretend to get along." I rolled my eyes. "Nien Rudy she's such a bitch to me and she scribbled all over the cover of The Whistler."
"Don't talk about my girlfriend like that and so what it's just a stupid book," he practically spat at me. This time, I couldn't hold back the tears, I quickly spat back at him " I'm supposed to be your bestfriend and you take her side over mine?! I hate you you stupid saurkel don't ever talk to me again" I ran off , the speed of my tears increasing. " Saumensch!" Rudy called after me. I shot a rude gesture at him from behind my back and ran off even faster.
RUDY POV:
Liesel just told me she hates me. I suppose I was being a jerk. God Rudy you just have to ruin things. I really wanted to talk to her about what happened when me and Tommy müller tried to steal a jar of candy from Frank's shop and maybe about Emilie too. "Hey Liesel want to play a game of football?" Tommy müller shouted to Liesel. "Sorry but nien.. Mama says I have to do some chores." And she quickly ran off, avoiding my eyes. I think I still love that stupid Saumensch.
