CALLIEGH'S POV
The first night that Phil was awake for was so confusing for him. He didn't know what had happened, so Sean and I had to tell him since we were the first ones in the room. When Andy and Brett showed up later that night, they helped me and Sean back up our story. Phil couldn't believe that it had happened. When the others left the room to get food and it was only me and Phil, he admitted something to me.
"Hey, Cal?" He asked, adjusting himself on his bed.
"What's up, Phil?"
"How did it happen?"
"We already told you. Y'all were shot at. You and Sean managed to get away without any bullet wounds. They must've shot out the tire of the bus because it flipped."
"I never thought this would ever happen to us." He shook his head.
"You and me both." I agreed.
"This is literally one of my worst fears."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I've always been scared that something like this would happen. I just never thought it actually would happen."
"It's okay." I said quietly. "It's going to be okay."
"I know... It's just the feeling you get."
"No, I get it." I nodded. "I watched the bus go down, I know what you mean."
"Oh, my god!" Phil suddenly looked over at me. "I feel so bad for you!"
"Phil, I'm okay." I laughed. "Seriously, I'm good."
"No, your parents were killed in a car crash... And now this happened."
Oh, crap, he's right. He made a connection between my past and present before I did. Geez, brain, get a grip. "I didn't even realize that before you mentioned it!"
"I think it's a little creepy."
"Why is it creepy? What's so creepy about it?"
"The people you're closest with have all been in life threatening car accidents... Your parents, your best friend, and now us."
"Don't think about it, Phil. It doesn't bother me, so it shouldn't bother you."
"If you say so..."
"Stop talking about it! If you keep talking about it, I'll start thinking about it and then I'll overthink it!" I laughed.
"I'm sorry!" Phil finally started laughing.
"Yes! I made you laugh!" I smiled in victory.
"Whatever." Phil rolled his eyes.
"Well, what do we do now?" I asked, looking down at my hands.
"Whatever we can." Phil shrugged as I nodded. I had ran out of things to say.
The next two days were pretty quiet. Sean, Phil, and I spent them in the room. Sean and I had walked down the hall to one of he unused rooms and taken the couch so we would have a comfortable place to sit. I had left once to get a few pairs of clothes from my apartment because it was pretty clear to me that I was going to be at the hospital for a while.
After three days passed, that's when things got interesting.
That morning, I woke up to someone poking me in the face. "Cal, come on, get up." I groaned and pushed myself up. It was Andy.
"Andy? What do you want?" I groaned.
"The girls are here. They want to talk to you before they come in."
